Eww, I always hate this. Makes me feel like I've subconsiously locked in a choice.
I'll give it to Wario for the time being. I was not kidding when I said I rated his game since merge.

Comments not for posting, just for the post-game reader: I don't hate Yoshi's strategy as much as I did during the game/at start of FTC any more. I still dislike it, but I don't hate it so much I'm going to hold it against him just for engaging in it. However, it was flawed to the point where I can't possibly think he played a better game than the other two here. All those social bonds he just killed before they even began due to it. The bonds he did have being pretty much empty to the point where even his egg-allies being happy to see him go in over and over. Seems to me he spent the pre-merge & early merge being continuously voted in, and then the late merge being passed over because he presented either zero threat - or at least less than anyone else.
So, not a vote for Yoshi. Cap and Wario - both good games but both flawed too. Cap definitely has the better read on things now. Wario's perception of things is very centred around his own experience and seems to skip over anything happening in the game that he wasn't a part of. But I do feel like Wario worked his ass off through the game to get here, while Cap had a much easier ride. Where Wario needed to grift he did, and kept himself alive even despite himself. Cap was clearly better socially, but I think strategically he got lucky a whole lot, and made worse decisions compared to Wario whenever he actually needed to. For someone as bad at duels as he claims, the fact that he had to duel just once seemed to happen despite his moves and not because of them. Wario may be socially incompetant, but I do admire his willingness to play hard and fast and come across just cray enough that he's someone I could always think about maybe turning to to mix things up.
Like Cap was also that - a possible instigator of things and someone I'd want to keep the vote off due to our Blue connection - yet I never felt like he'd really want to leave the Gold fold (even when he actually did - where was the shout?). Meanwhile Wario felt like someone I could always try to ask to make some cray move, and this was due to his playstyle and messaging, rather than just circumstance. The game he ended up playing was due to the way he played. And that co-incides with the type of game I like to reward.
So I think I do stick with my pre-vote and vote for Wario. I'd be lying if I didn't also say a part of this was the fact that I expect Cap to win by a high margin here and I think Wario's game deserves some votes here. If it turns out to be somehow enough votes to win overall, I'm okay with that too.
