In this game, you will participate in Training every round, by attacking three Sandbags with Attack Cards numbered 1-22. As outlined in the welcome thread, these will confer powers to the person on each team that trains the hardest by doing the most damage. The Shield Sandbag will confer immunity, the Attack Sandbag will confer the ability to control the duel for the round, and the Grab Sandbag will confer the ability to visit the Spectator Stands. You can play up to two cards per round, on the same or two different Sandbags. To do so, simply make a post like this: The deadline for doing this is 7:50 pm board time each evening, and you may change your card plays for the round as many times as you like up to that point. Below is your supply of cards:

A question on attack cards. Maybe a silly question, but better to be sure. You can play up to two cards per round, on the same or two different Sandbags. I assume this means that playing zero in a round is a perfectly valid option?

Yo Masahiro Sakurai, a question on the above. I'm not really understanding the rules and the way there are multiples. Am I right to think that anyone who goes on and finds this now will also get their Final Smash? Or is it a first-come, first-served deal? And while I'm at it, is there any explicit difference between a Smash Ball and a Final Smash? Or is it just that finding the Smash Ball, unlocks your Final Smash, which is just an OP Smash Card?

A lot of options here. I think I probably should just sit on my cash. But I also think a lot of people are going to do that, at least to start.
I don't feel like I really need immunity, I could duel if needed. And for grab I think I could utilise the chance to speak with the Duellists a lot more than with the people who pay for Grab. Maybe the one's who pay are happier to give up info and have more of it - but that comes with a price of them being canny players. Give me the dummies out for revenge and new allies ever day.
So that leaves the Attack bag, which I kinda expect most people aren't considering at all. Banning a challenge for a single round is only really useful when you are personally in the Ring. Being the highest overall bidder, and getting to flush a challenge from the game is small now but gets bigger as the game goes on. If you're in there duelling and choosing your own fate, it's huge. So this will likely be cheap now, more expensive later. I might even get a rollover round out of it so long as I get in now before the trend.
So I think I wanna go reasonably high on the Attack Bag here. The only people throwing more than a pittance at it might be Mario/anyone convinced they are duelling this round. I'll do this with two cards to keep to high value ones for cramming more value in later bids.

Cancel the above, I'll go with the hoarder strategy for now. Wasn't expecting as much interest in the Attack. Though if Cap gets it now for nothing :angry

Thinking through this, I don't really want the Shield to be immune. Even if I'm here next round and we're just four. If I was sent to duel I'd rather know that is was executed now. And I think I could place not-last in most duels. It's could even be beneficial to get a win under my belt early - or two, as would likely be the case if I go to one. The only real reason to go for immunity is to keep it away from someone else. Grab is getting more tempting by the round. It would be excellent if I could nab that in the round of a shuffle. But I think it's too soon yet. Maybe in two boots time. I don't care much for the one-off shared forum power, even with only three here to talk with. then if I get the boot, I can talk to anyone anyway. Attack could be huge if I'm in the duel. But damn Yoshi went high that time. And for what - to KO the Gauntlet?? How high do I need to be to beat that? I suppose the big bids come from people afraid they are going in. Plant got to choose his fate. Like Link mighta been the other option instead of Wario, and who knows what Yoshi is at - he might just have really disliked the gauntlet. I have three duels I very much want to avoid. I was hoping someone would get rid of one of them first so I could then start targetting the others. Much less likely if I get rid of one that someone will hit a different one.
