Oh, also if you haven't been reading PM's lately -- apparently WFT has the Final Smash.
Not super concerned about that at the moment.
I am supposedly in a core four with Robin/WFT/Duck. I'm certainly on the bottom of this group and expendable, but I'm okay with that for now. I feel that when the time comes I should be able to step things up and flip things around.

If I was to rank my tribe at this point in terms of who I trust from most to least, it would be: - Robin
- Donkey Kong
- Yoshi
- Duck Hunt Duo
- Wii Fit Trainer
- Isabelle barely counts
I think Robin would want to keep me as a relatively controllable vote, so I can trust him for now.
Donkey Kong is a surprise. I went from loathing all contact with him, to now seeing him as a potentially valuable vote. I think he, like me, probably feels threatened about the idea of allowing Robin/WFT/Duck to control everything, and so would want to keep me in the game. I'm trying my best to nurture this relationship.
Yoshi is new and I doubt he has strong allegiances to anyone, but...that's fine. All I need is a vote, and I think he's someone I can convince to do things.
Duck Hunt and Wii Fit Trainer are fine, but I think they're tight with each other and don't really need me all that much. Wouldn't mind splitting them up, even as early as next round depending on how things go. Whether or not that is achievable is another question.
I want to vote out Isabelle tonight. She's cute, but she's kinda a non-entity.

Okay, Duck Hunt spending more big cards on the Shield again means he was telling the truth with his explanation.
But it's just bizarre logic imo. Doing this wouldn't lower your threat level much at all in my eyes, and if anything makes you a more appealing target or backup target later on, because people know you can't nab the shield. Like the least he could have done is use the cards on the Attack bag to start banning some challenges he wants to keep safe.

How do you feel you can best use them to further your game? Using the lowest cards I can is definitely the aim. This round I was able to achieve that just by asking people outright if they wanted to go to the Spectator Stands. I even had DK stand down on attacking the Grab Bag so that I didn't have to waste a higher card.
I'll also need to try and get myself a final smash at the next opportunity. Hopefully it doesn't happen on a day I have to work. 
But yeah, going forward I'd like to try and be at the Spectator Stands as much as possible without drawing heat on myself for it. That's going to be an interesting balancing act. So far the WTF DogDuck haven't expressed much interest, tho. Hopefully that continues. Ideally nobody bids on it this round so I can get two trips for the price of one, and then Robin can go back the day after.
I'm also keen to start getting some Attack bags. I'm gonna need to start banning some of the challenges I could realistically win, lol. Intergalactic bounty hunter as I may be...I have very little faith in my challenge ability these days.

Same deal as the Attack Sandbag is normally. Since you currently hold the Grab Bag you would win any ties within your own team. |

So this is a really interesting round. Before we get to that, though -- an update on the game in general.
This has been really fun so far! I'm playing with a level of flexibility that I don't usually do.
- Robin is still my number one. He just seems to be on the same page as me at every step. I've been very open with him about how I'm feeling in the short and long-term. He's really the only person in the game that I have any loyalty to, at this point.
- DK is a solid and dependable ally, though. I enjoy how straightforward he is, and I do think he'll be have my back for as long as I have his. I worry that he could be misled though. If someone came to him saying I was targeting him, would he believe them? Not sure.
- Wii Fit Trainer...what happened to her? She seemed like a fairly big presence on the tribe at first, but she's fallen off hard in the last few days. And on top of that she's just kind of bland tbh. And her fixation on Yoshi has been bizarre as well. Robin and I had decided to boot WFT this round, and then she showed up saying she felt she deserved to be voted into the Ring as penance for self-voting. Robin and I were like...lol okay! She tried to walk it back later in the day, but I wasn't having any of it. It is a cool situation though because I think she might genuinely think we're still a core four? And I think I could work with her in the swap. Is she dependable tho?
- Duck Hunt Duo has had a similar trajectory to WFT. Solid early presence, completely faded into the background now. Their strategy with blowing all their big cards is baffling. I don't factor them into my long-term plans at all.
- Mario is...not great. He's a bore to talk to, and I always struggle with players like that. BUT I think he maybe has DK upside in that if we look after him, he'd stay loyal to us? That's the hope, anyway.
- And then there's Yoshi. I'm inclined to believe he's genuine about his Egg strategy. I get the sense that he's an experienced player who decided to roll with this and see what happened, lol. BUT it does make him kinda hard to depend on in a swap, right? I might get a bad draw where all of a sudden he's working with other players. And similarly, given I'm seemingly aligned with three other Eggs-holders...I could vote his ass out and he'd still have to listen to me when he got back in!
Which is exactly why Yoshi is the target for tomorrow.

But anyway -- this round!
So my priority is to get onto a tribe with Robin, right? And ideally with Dark Pit as well.
Which means that I need to get the Grab Bag tonight. I say that because if DP was to choose before Robin or I, he would very likely pick Robin. And at that point it would be luck of the draw on whether or not I ended up on the same tribe as them.
On the other hand, if I'm a Captain -- I pick Dark Pit, he picks Robin. Done. And you'd have to assume he'd pick Robin given all of the time they've spent in each others arms over at the Spectator Stands. Everyone else from other tribes he's been there with have been voted out.
We also know that Dark Pit is close with King Dedede. Which means the first four members of the team could be Samus -> Dark Pit -> Robin -> King Dedede. That would give us a very good chance of getting a majority. And shit, if I can somehow get a message to Dedede on the Ring, I could tell him to pick DK lol!
I also need to somehow stop Dedede and Dark Pit from bidding high on the Grab Bag and becoming Captains themselves.

Question for Masahiro Sakurai: Can you reveal any more on how will things play out with the Grab Bag / Team Selection tonight? Will you reveal the three people who have claimed it before selections are made? Assuming I have the highest bid for it in the game, would I automatically be given my #1 pick in the ranking I've posted in the Attack Cards thread, OR would I have a small window of opportunity to change my ranking based on the other Captain? I ask because if I end up winning it, but I looked over and saw that Dark Pit was another Captain...I could just go to the Ring. |

The swap will happen at 9:30 pm and rankings and Sandbags will be final at 8:00 pm, so you won't know who has gone for what. I'll mass-tag everyone now to make this clear I think.
