After Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, the Wii's Super Mario Galaxy put a new spin on 3D Mario games by having Mario foil Bowser and rescue Peach... in space! In an adventure widely regarded as one of his best, Mario would collect stars by hopping from planet to planet, each of which had its own gravity. Super Smash Bros. For Wii U's uses the same mechanic for its Mario Galaxy stage, where the curvature of the planet affects gameplay in a unique way. Just like in Super Mario Galaxy, you'll run around planets and launch between them in order to reach a star in this duel.
Each planet will take the form of a circular maze. You'll start from a number of lanes, each with a different letter of the alphabet assigned to them. You'll travel anticlockwise along each lane until you reach an intersection; when you do, you will turn into it, and then continue down that lane anticlockwise. Eventually, after following the path, you'll reach the end of the lane, which will be marked with a number. Doing this for every lane will give you a password, which, if correct, you can use to access the next puzzle. This password will be each letter followed by its number in alphabetical order, eg. A2B3C1 if there were three lanes.
There will be a further Mario-related twist to this challenge. Along the lanes, there will be warp pipes! Warp pipes come in matching colour pairs; when a path reaches a warp pipe, it will warp to the matching pipe, and continue anticlockwise from there. For an example, see below:
The password obtained from this example maze would be: A2B3C1D4
This challenge will have a total of three mazes that will escalate in difficulty, having more lanes and pipes than the example. Once you correctly solve the last maze, you will see a finishing image; posting this in your thread for this duel will stop your clock.
The player(s) with the fastest time(s) will survive the arena and, if applicable, select a tribe to return to. The loser will be eliminated from the game.
