In Pikmin 2, Captain Olimar returns from the planet of the Pikmin to discover that his employer Hocotate Freight is in debt. He is tasked with returning to this Distant Planet that may or may not be Earth to find treasures worth enough to pay off the company's debt. Much like Olimar, your job will be to search the Distant Planet that inspired Super Smash Bros. Brawl's stage of the same name.
In practice, this duel involves searching through a bunch of images corresponding to the gloriously HD worlds from Pikmin 3. These images will contain embedded links to everyday human objects. Each of the objects will be worth a certain amount of the Hocotatian currency, the Poko, ranging from 10P to 200P. Your spaceship has room for 10 of these treasures; you want to bring back the 10 most valuable treasures possible within a time limit of 15 minutes.
However, it won't be quite as simple as freely picking the biggest numbers you see. You will need to choose treasures that satisfy the purchasing desires of 10 clients. What satisfies each client will be a certain criterion eg. "I would like you to bring me back something blue", and clients will only buy an object if it fits the bill for them. Multiple objects will match these criteria; you can only give each object to one client, and each client will only purchase one object. It is important to note that the criteria will all apply to how these objects are seen and used by humans, rather than anything meta about either their placement in the challenge or how they appear in the Pikmin series.
To offer an item for sale to a particular client, simply post the image after the number of the client or their criterion in your duel thread. Make sure you do this clearly because if we're unable to tell what client an object is for, we won't count it. We also won't count any images posted after your time expires, so practice good time management. You may revise your sales as many times as necessary before time expires, and we'll consider only the most recent one for each client. The sum of the Poko values of all of your validly sold items will be your score for the challenge.
The player(s) with the highest score(s) will survive The Ring and, if applicable, select a tribe to return to. The loser will be eliminated from the game. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the player who sold the most items to reach that score, followed by the shortest time.
