Looking For Secrets

Three of the threads have oddly formatted single letters - italics, bold, underline

If I'm finding them all correctly, I think, they're anagrams for

back round (background? did I miss a g? Or should I pay attention capitalization?)

I went looking in the icons in the page background, image link here:

I'm not totally sure which one is the odd one out? Does it relate to which character is or is not in the game?

It's possible I'm on a wild goose chase here.

Ugh, it was my lack of Smash knowledge that hampered me!

Yesterday's Google searches failed me, today I finally found the list of all icons:

Robin told me the "NINTENDOGS" rumor, from there I could see there are three background (as opposed to character) icons, and I should just try the other two.
