Root Yeah Squirtle is doing the public persona better, but Squirtle will send actual messages which is the key there. It's all in something called squirtlespeak which I would find grating if it were me, but it certainly helps him strategise! I would say Plant is likely to survive the duel given they chose it for themselves, at least, but stranger things have happened.

For Red, I think long-term survival from there isn't too unlikely. I know Ghibli was two tribes, but with three, it often becomes that a weaker third tribe gets picked up by another to wage war against the more threatening one.

I will definitely sort out access to the Stands archives for you though!

Hurray, much appreciated! I missed the last bit of conversation between D3 and Robin while I was playing D&D/sleeping, so this is fantastic!

The duel does look really neat! Depending on how much of a time crunch I'm in work-wise I might attempt some of the past duels during the week for fun.

Nature vs. Nurture actually started at three, but it didn't last long and there was no swapping; they dissolved into teams of two that were relatively equally split. I feel like having to be the only new face in a pre-existing tribe would be really hard. I remember binge-reading another Smash Arena game a while after it happened, and did notice that a couple unfortunate souls were constantly bounced around until they finally died. I appreciate the one-round grace period as a way to mix that up!

Oh yeah, how could I forget? My buddy Koichi went down in flames in Round 1 with three tribes and it was glorious.

I think it's generally considered poor form to revolving door people in these since it means you won't attract many other duelists and your core will be exposed a lot sooner. A lot of the time they'll make a point of welcoming you with open arms just for that. There's a lot of internal debate in Green in particular on whether to do that or not this round, actually, such is how tangled the relationships there are.

Oh, I didn't realize! Between watching Samus get punted from team to team for what felt like an eternity in the aforementioned other arena game and the 'no revolving door' policy being a thing that folks commented on in PvZ during the Orgy awards I kind of assumed revolving door was the default, but I'm glad that it's more of a debate than that, it'll keep things more interesting from round to round.

Every time I checked in on them and saw they were playing coy because of absent Ike (who hadn't even logged in!) I grit my teeth a bit.

Also, Mario getting tossed to a team that both you and D3 said had a fairly rigid structure already oops hope they're better at future challenges.

The spec-stand has completely poisoned me against Yoshi, I feel like they're insincere for no good reason already.

Dark Pit's wall of text is exactly what I'd hoped it be. Also; I adore Robin just calling Ike 'Chrom' and Dark Pit's shallow insistence they aren't an anime swordboy. Even if they weren't in the stand-spec they'd be rising in my eyes tonight! Samus's witty one-liners are also growing on me, and I'm glad Pyra/Mythra hasn't 100% dropped their schtick yet. Hopefully Robin will have responded with his own wall when I wake up in the morning!
