Rip Isabelle. But at the same time that would very much have been me. Is she another puppy from my litter?
Love the mess of everything this round though.

Well, despite the person leaving last round being the most dull & obvious choice, the votes for the duel this round still made last night the most exciting yet! Waking up to the fallout this morning was delicious, and I'm excited to see where things go from here. Red TeamRed team is a weird one to watch; they look like they have inactives from the outside but the hosts are saying that the folks who nearly never post and also self-vote are still playing the game? Such a weird space, and the votes suggest pretty much no one has come together in any capacity. Whether that remains the case will be seen going forward, it feels like the time where self-voting is permissible will be over soon, and this is the obvious tribe to head to if you're in the ring on a non-volunteer basis and want a second chance. Welcome back to the spectator stands, king! Not much has changed since last time, I'm vaguely aware I'd be super indifferent to them if they weren't constantly playing in a space I can see them, but they're also choosing the spectator stand life, so it's fair to love them for it. Still another solid cast member, suffering from quiet red syndrome. I'm starting to root for the underdog; I feel like they have a really cutting and almost negative tone to their posts, at least in public, but it's rapidly feeling like that's a fair attitude to have if they're getting rejected by literally everyone. Hang in there man, collect those badges! Still burning through cards, and still doing an okay 2 in 1 gimmick that's outclassed by Pyra & Mythra doing the same thing, but they seem a little more around than the rest.
Pulling for WFT to get her shit together, she seems alright but really forgetful. I'm hopeful that nearly getting punted into the ring will wake her up and get her to start playing a bit more. Seems like a lot of their early showboating and manipulation has backfired, at least for now. Hard to say how much danger they're actually in though, if Wii Fit is almost throwing in the towel and red team will almost certainly get more folks going forward. If they make it to a merge I have to assume they'll be killed early in it.
I feel bad saying this, but something about DK's posts slide out of my brain and leave no impression.Blue Team
Wow this team is a fun mess to watch. What is even happening here??? It looks like the team had two 'camps'; if the public meeting is accurate then Pyra & Falco were definitely against CF and Squirtle. Both sides seem to think Richter was with them, and neither side seemed to think Pirahna Plant was with them? And because Pirahna Plant doesn't post text, they might not be able to figure out which side Richter flopped to. This would be an incredible setup for future drama if Richter could read the rules properly and wasn't going home Trying to start shit with CF in the meeting thread, and still consistently funny everywhere else, these two are gems and I'm hopeful they turn their situation around. Still great, I wish I could read their theoretical PM chain with Plant. That being said, they seem kind of removed from things from where I sit, although that's probably because their gimmick doesn't allow for big character reactions. I continue to love the shit they cause without actually really having any strong feelings on them, but they caused so much shit this round they deserve a jump in my rankings.
If he goes here I'll feel bad, it is his own fault but he still deserves better. Hang in there champ! He seems more fun in more private spaces, he's pretty good in Spec-stand land.
Damn, the Captain, this low? I love everyone on this team too much.
Poor guy, Falco is fun, just not quite as fun as the rest.
Green Team
If I didn't have Dark Pit in my life, this team would be so boring. Thankfully Dark Pit is in my life, so this is actually a really interesting little knot of alliances to watch, gratefully knowing I'll never have to untangle it.
I can't believe they got a third round in the spectator stands, but I am *so* not complaining. I wonder if they'll volunteer to go in the ring as part of Wario's plan in order to gtfo to another team, like perhaps their beloved Robin? Prolly not they seem pretty risk averse. I hope not because I want them around and filling the rest of the game in on Green team's fuckery.
Spectator-wise I appreciate how much life he brings to the public part of the game, and knowing how much of a supposedly overplaying mess they are makes their moves feel more fun. I do wonder if their own tribe is a little sick of them though? Dark Pit doesn't seem to think so but Sakurai did suggest they might not have been able to get off the chopping block if they tried. I really hope they lose to Mario and get sent to another team that they haven't been a giant mess in, just to see how it goes.
Not much has changed since last time, I still like them about as much as I did? But the rest of the game is heating up and I have no insight into where they are with it.
They seem alright? I hope we get to see them soon, it would be fun to see them reunite with the folks that voted them off.
Solid but kind of dull. They're stronger than the other two in public, but my impression is that doesn't cross over to private.
Solid but kind of dull. Less solid than Kazuya, but also potentially more interesting gameplay wise, as Kazuya seems attached to Wario, according to Dark Pit?
I feel like their depiction of K Rool is kind of a waste, but they otherwise seem fine. A lot of green really haven't made much impression beyond what Dark Pit has to say.

Opinion varies on who wore it better between Duck Hunt and Pythra. I'm not convinced either way because I'm such a completely impartial fence-sitter host, but it is hilarious how for a while they were almost the exact same shtick. Without Isabelle to crush on, I expect Duck Hunt will go for different material from here though.

Round 5: I should have noted which round was which ranking so I'll try to remember to do that going forward. I'm running behind again, but at least this time I'm not cutting it quite so close? Interesting to note that there's some wider debate on Dunk Hunt vs. Pythra; I'm definitely aware that Pythra has dropped it a few times, and frequently only talks as Pyra, so I can appreciate that Duck Hunt is more consistent, but Duck Hunt has the lowest post count of all surviving folks in the game at 9; I just haven't seen them enough to care about them. I didn't even know Duck Hunt had a crush on Isabelle until she died, but that's a really cute idea. Also quick note that I'm slightly in mourning Richter here, I was hopeful the dummy could survive despite their misplay. This is the last chance I have to rank Red/Green/Blue, so I think rather than ranking them within their team I'll try to do a whole cast ranking to shake things up a bit? Currently my favourite. Decently charismatic and driven slightly miserable by their team, I'm grateful for it because they've been the clearest window into the game thus far. I've found their relationships compelling; Robin is the obvious one but I also thought they had solid banter with Samus and Richter. Hoping they get swapfucked and keep visiting the stands so I get to follow their journey. She started off as a bit of a slow burn, but she's been getting better and better with every round. I really like their dynamic with pretty much everyone they meet; Robin's connection with Dark Pit is more exciting, but Samus brings it waaay more in every other public forum. Similarly to Pit, I like their exasperation at most of the rest of Red, and the Grima/Robin gimmick is okay? I suspect they wanted to do it a bit more than they are, but maaaybe backed off, worried that Duck Hunt and Pyra already exist. It's a bit of a toss-up between Robin and Samus which one I like more, depending on the minute. She's the consistent funniest person around the boards for me; I guess I'm a sucker for the overly direct and sassy personality? I do think it's unfortunate that she's so heavy on Pyra and does so little with Mythra, and on top of that it still bugs me that the personalities should have been the other way around, but I'm still really enjoying her either way. The Captain has a really entertaining arrogance for me, and he does manage to get the tone of how Smash presents CF pretty solidly, just ramped up to eleven. I hope he thinks to post that gif of him accidentally obliterating all of Olimar's Pikmin. His gifs are funny and trying to actually read his posts is a wild ride. I can't imagine reading them and thinking 'oh yes, I want to decrypt this the rest of the game', but hey this is why I'm on the sidelines, where I can properly enjoy it! God I love his attempts to get Blue team to communicate and work together in a public space, I really admire his moxie. Too bad no one else will go for it, but I hope they hang in there and manage to get some lower-key teammates soon! They have a soothing, regal presence. Nothing to do with D3, but I enjoy it nonetheless. I wish they'd talk with the folks in the stands with what's going on a bit more, but I still like them. I found their initial tone a bit harsh and cutting, but I'm beginning to love it; they've seemingly been typecast as someone everyone hates and it feels maaaybe earned, but maybe not? I'm hoping they can continue to overcome this initially really awful start and go deep. Hang in there king, go the distance as an underdog! I love how much of a mess they've made their team, how frantic they seem to be to run around and do a bunch of shit, but I don't feel like I know them, I just get to see the fallout of their moves. Hopefully they stick around a little longer to sow more chaos, but I'm not attached. Not sure why she's up this high? She's alright, hope she can get herself back into it once she's gotten through whatever IRL bullshit has her away from her computer so consistently. Kind of a poor man's Wario, in that they're constantly stirring up a huge amount of shit but isn't really present from my vantage point, except no one seems to take them seriously the way they seemingly do with Wario. I still don't understand anything about what they're thinking. ... Fine? We're in the zone of "hasn't posted enough for me to have opinions" now. Some solid public posts, but not much. I was shocked when I checked their post count that they're as high as they are, because I feel like I know nothing substantial about them. Seems nice idk Seems generic idk, we're really missing a proper heel. I guess that's Mario's role now? They're publicly so quiet I was surprised that anyone had an opinion on them, I guess they must be playing a fierce PM game. IDK Almost no public posts, and most of them seem kind of dull.

I think DK has had an amazing week in terms of gameplay, if not entertainment. He outbid Duck Hunt's projected bid on Shield this round, which was super petty and hilarious He was very close to getting booted first or second from Red, and he's ended up successfully making the swap without duelling! K Rool is another who seemed to be in danger but managed to use cards to survive the phase unscathed as well. Mario surviving three duels is iconic, and the negative "pls stop doing this to me" vibes are super funny. If he survives tonight, he'll have overcome the odds to make the swap from finishing 2nd last in every duel he was in, and that is legendary to me. I am invested.

Round 7: Ok, time for a ranking update! I talked a bit about my swap feelings in the gameplay thread and won't reiterate them here. The last couple of hours seem to have shifted what I imagined the dynamics were potentially dramatically anyways. Pink Team:
Pink was initially a mystery to me votes-wise; from the spectator stands our main point of view has been the Robin/Samus and Dark Pit/D3 interactions in the Red/Green days, but it's hard to know what's being said behind closed doors and I was surprised to see the vote split so closely. My current theory is D3/Dark Pit and Samus/Robin are sort of playing at a Red Vs. Green dynamic right now while secretly being a solid four person in an attempt at convincing the ring fodder that they'll get to seriously effect the tribe dynamics. That's the story that Dark Pit is selling Kazuya in the Spec-stands and it would track with both Robin and Dark Pit talking about how they thought teams should try to have an appearance of being open to new members at all times. Consistent spectator stands visitor, could be considered our point of view character. Dark Pit seems to have basically positive relationships with the cast right now? Obviously Robin, Samus, D3 and Kazuya (and almost certainly Wario) consider them allies right now and they're telling Kazuya they're also talking a lot with Falco and Pyra/Mythra? I hope we keep seeing them in the stands but I'm beginning to worry they maybe have too many friends, which might cause them problems later on down the line. Ironic they complained about Wario doing something similar! They did manage to keep Mario safe as well, (and first picked him?!) so maybe they're friends with him too? Seems like this might get messy. Finally seems to have maybe found their stride, with a decent if somewhat dull public presence and finally managing to be totally safe for a round in Pink, not attracting a single vote. It feels unlikely they ever would bother with the spectator stands (they've had more opportunity than literally everyone else in the game to talk with the cast) but I wish they would so I could get a better read on where their head is. Making a public thread for Sandbag discussion again, what a king. Too bad it was largely ignored but I still appreciate the scraps I can get over the weekend! I feel like they're a bit of an underdog on this tribe, because as far as I know the potentially large Pink Pact is largely unknown by those not part of it and doesn't include them. It feels like Pink is trying to lure Pyra/Mythra to their side by keeping Falco around, and might jettison them both afterwards, which would be tragic. Rooting for the underdog! Haven't seen much of them since the swap, and they were never the most prolific poster to begin with, but it's clear to me that they've likely now ironed out a solid standing on their team. Robin and Samus seemed likely to be working together based on spec-stand discussions, he got along with D3 decently as well, meaning he might be in a solid 4 person crew in Pink? Hard to know where Mario or Duck Hunt land for him, he did say he thought Duck Hunt was okay at first until they burned a bunch of pointless smash cards. Fallen down my ranking a bit because I inevitably pull for underdogs, and they seem to be sort of on top of the world right now? Pretty much everything I said about Robin could apply to Samus as well, the only reason Robin is higher is because I'm more invested in Dark Pit/Robin as a duo. D3 remains a regal and pleasant public presence but they haven't left much impression, especially as the game has gone on and other members of their tribes have stepped up. They sort of feel like they're the UTR extra vote for the Pink Pact? Then again, my vantage point seems very limited. Duck Hunt has grown on me a bit, and I'm happier with K.Rool in the ring than I am with them, but it's still hard to know what to think about them given how rarely they post. At 14 public posts they are the second-rarest player to see something of. Not only that, but having burned a lot of their cards on Shield already means I'll probably never see them in the spec stands. Feels like they'll be a natural casualty of a 'Oh no red team is dominating' narrative, as Robin & Samus are too core to Pink and I don't know if anyone even counts Mario as a Red Team member, given how many times they got bounced around. In the ring this round. Them winning would be a potentially very interesting shift in Yellow dynamics (Wario needs more allies to put up a fight) so I'm kind of hoping he survives here. I otherwise have no real opinion on them. Yellow TeamYellow team is mostly less interesting to me at this point. Partially I just have a much less clear view of potentially interesting dynamics and partially they have a largely quieter crew. I don't know what to make of a DK vote here; was it vs ? I haven't kept track of Yoshi's bullshit because I don't like them (reading Kazuya say Yoshi just did whatever his egg holders wanted irked me) or maybe Wario pulled DK in to have an easy first boot? It seems like Yoshi and Plant were the flip votes, but if Wario and Kazuya were on the right side of it then one of CF/Marth/Squirtle would have to jump, which feels very unlikely? Kazuya did seem to think things were fine though, so who knows. Maybe that's just how he talks. It doesn't help that in Pink Vs. Yellow it's nearly a clean split between my favourites and less favourites. C'mon Captain! This should be a drive down easy street after the Big Blue kinda fucked with you. Take the wheel! They seem pretty fun in one on one settings, the spectator stand has been really fun to read as an outside observer, seeing a seemingly pleasant reunion filled with open trust immediately, but with the dramatic irony that Dark Pit may actually be a snake. Still a fun and cute public presence, but no gameplay presence at all, at least from my blind view. Their public persona has died down but they still cause enough drama and anxiety that it seeps through the game, infecting other players to do more shit, so I'm grateful they exist. They seem fine? Like most of this team it's been a while since they posted anything where I can see it! They're okay? Kind of boring. I feel bad they seem to be completely screwed here no matter where they go, but even as underdogs go I'm rooting for Mario, Falco and Pyra harder. That being said, I kind of hope they die in the ring mainly because I think K.Rool joining Yellow makes Yellow a little more interesting? I hate this plant has nabbed immunity so many times, it feels like such a pointless addition. I guess it's sticking with blue over green here. Bleh. Oh, I suppose it's worth mentioning; Hasn't joined either team yet; I'm suspecting they'll join Pink when the time comes unless I'm misreading the game or the Pink Pact massively overplays early. This is kind of tragic because I don't really think they'll survive there? But I guess we'll see. I'm rooting for them and Falco to survive as a duo!

From a host PoV, I struggle at times with Yoshi too. It's not that the Eggs aren't interesting, they actually kind of are, with the unwavering devotion to a questionable plan. It's more that the extra accounting is a lot in an already comparatively admin-heavy game. For me I enjoy Yoshi most when they're doing challenges, so maybe a trip to The Ring would help. Plant had a comparatively good round last round, too. I'd be interested to see what happened if they or some of the other underdogs scrapped their way to the jury. It's public knowledge that it's a Final 3 with 10 jurors, so there are only a few more pre-jury eliminations to go.

Oh jeez, we're getting pretty close! With 17 folks still alive we're only four KOs away from Jury. One interesting thing to note; will Yoshi's egg stuff carry over to the jury?
Plant just posts so insanely little publicly that it's hard to care about them at all. If you're going to post that little then to get a spectator's attention each post would have to be legendary and, uh, that's not how I'd describe Plant's single image reactions.
Reading the final days of the Red, Blue, and Green team was quite fun. I hope the blue team wanting to all work together wasn't a smokescreen, I'd love to see them all make it to around 12 players and then start just running rings around the rest. Link being seemingly insanely bitter on getting voted out at Green Team was also funny, but getting PM locked into a KO suddenly feels like more of a missed opportunity. It kinda felt like most of the folks in Red didn't really care about the last meeting, but I guess them all voting Yoshi + Green apparently all hating Yoshi too lines up nicely with Yoshi working with Falcon/Squirtle/Marth now. But then I remember Egg bullshit and have no idea how sincere anything they do is. -_-
I'm really hoping Mario makes it to the Jury, it'd be fun to watch him hold the winners over the fire on booting him around so much early.
Are the already-KO'd folks hanging about? I'd be curious to hear from some of them on how things went.

I wonder about that too! I would be so salty if I lost FTC because egg holders told Yoshi to vote against me. I'd love for Mario to make it there too. I just don't really see him not getting targeted eventually? If he ekes out another duel win, that would be the cherry on top of his arc for me! The KO'd section is fairly active! When the merge happens, I'll see how the mood is there. Since lurkers is small and manageable, I might look into merging the two so you can spectate together.

Round 8 & 9 I feel like I cursed Mario to get sent back in with my last ranking. Hoping he can pull out a win here! I missed last round (i.e. yesterday) because when I started to write a ranking I realized pretty much nothing has changed, but after the last few votes and Spec-stands I guess I can do a quick update on my wild speculation. Pink Team:
Not much has changed here for me; Falco and PyMy have joined, which probably bodes ill for them? K.Rool leaving for Yellow was sensible on paper, but it looks like maybe Yellow won't be better. Falco nabbing the shield for next round might be the death of PyMy, which would be tragic but I feel like if Plant or Mario returns to Pink they'll get murdered for it? Mario has a shield though so maybe that gets really messy if it happens. Still the spectator main character of choice, I'd hoped we'd see more of them talking to Kazuya but that's more Kazuya seems to have gone quiet than anything they did. Their extremely bitchy public posts make me laugh consistently. I feel like they're screwed here though Looks inevitable they'll be in the ring next round, and then even if they survive what team do they go to? Naturally they get sent in the round after I suggest they might have figured things out. I'm reaaaally pulling for them to eke out another victory in the Ring. You can do it king! A well-timed bid for immunity likely keeps them safe for one round, but probably not two unless some drastic shifts happen. I hope they can stave off death long enough to make another merge, or manage to bail to another team but it kind of looks like a lost cause. I feel like my thoughts on them have been 'adequately' explained. Haven't seen much of them in public lately Haven't seen much of them in public lately Yellow TeamWelp, last time I said Pink was more interesting than Yellow, and since then Pink seems to have done nothing but confirm my theory that the Pink Pact is real and cleverly picking folks off in the established order and Yellow remains a contentious mess. Trying to track who's thinking what here is just so difficult. In Yellow's first vote it was 5-3 DK-Wario, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how that happened. Kaz/War seems to be a solid duo and Falc/Squirt are a solid duo; obviously Kaz/War went for DK here, there's no way Wario self-voted. DK must have voted for Wario, but who were the other two? Either Falc/Squirt voted with DK and then managed to turn Marth, Plant and Yoshi all on Wario in one round (that seems like a lot of effort?) or Falc/Squirt/Wario/Kaz + 1 went for DK and DK + some combo of Plant, Marth and Yoshi went on Wario? I feel like it makes sense if I assume Marth is working with Falc/Squirt and they worked with Wario in round 7 and then turned on him in round 8. But in that case why go for Plant when not only does Wario return but Wario gets another number in K.Rool? Also who stray-voted Yoshi, they're my hero. vs with fucking Yoshi of all people playing the middle seems just so stupid; I guess both sides think they have more eggs? Openly taunting Wario is pretty funny but I also feel like Pride comes before a fall. Hopefully the fall is a ways away! Still a fun and cute public presence, but no gameplay presence at all, at least from my blind view. Still. WTF is happening here??? They seem fine? Like most of this team it's been a while since they posted anything where I can see it! If you're going to go to the stands then post in it you dork! Eh. Meh. Bleh. Thinking about the Ring this round; Mario vs. Plant. If Plant wins I seriously don't know what they do, it feels like either side would be happy to just shove them back into the ring until they stay dead, and they've burned enough of their cards that I don't think they'll nab shield again. If Mario wins, then where he winds up really depends on his feelings but based on the dialogue between him and Robin in the meeting thread, I'm guessing he's not really feeling welcome on Pink ever again. If he goes to Yellow? Maybe he can get picked up as a number for either side to defeat the other, especially if both sides decide Yoshi is too much of a gamble to deal with.

The Kazuya comment True story: I accidentally forgot to make the Spectator Stands while I was fretting over preparing a possible duel that still needed some images generated, and Falco had to remind me. I fixed it, and then two hours later he tagged me again asking if I'd forgotten to add Kazuya or something since he still hadn't responded acknowledged his existence at all. Yellow was pretty fun this round; there was a genuine chance of rocks before Yoshi self-voted (shockingly, making him your hero ). Such was the confusion that he might have gotten away with it, had he not immediately fessed up once he came online. There's potential for someone surprising to miss jury here this round, depending on how things go.

Good lord Yoshi self-voted? I'm really trying to tease out the implications of that.
Plant had to vote for Wario, Wario had to vote for Plant. I'm assuming that Wario has Kazuya and K.Rool under their thumb, so that's three votes for Plant. This means one of Captain Falcon, Squirtle, and Marth voted Plant and the other two voted Wario, which wow that's a mess. I feel like maybe Marth is playing both sides? Marth was voted off Blue early on after all, whereas Squirtle and Capt. Falcon seem like they should logically be extremely close with each other and Marth did also spend some time on Green after getting booted from Blue early. I guess from their point of view maybe they wanted to make sure they were #3 in the alliance by killing Plant? Or they're more content with Wario/Kaz/K.Rool. Maybe K.Rool and Marth are close, and K.Rool rejoining yellow is what's caused Marth to split.
Either way, I'm quite excited to see what happens on Yellow next. I'm suddenly very afraid that Mario walking into Yellow could go extremely poorly if OG Green and OG Blue have enough of a tenuous peace brokered between them to want a safe option none of them would mourn. But also Wario seems comedically hostile to OG blue in public and according to Dark Pit he overplays like crazy so maybe Mario can needle his way in with Wario as a safety vote to take out the remainder of Blue?
Probably none of this is actually happening, but it sure is fun to speculate on!
F's in the chat for Falco, who probably (correctly?) intuits that he has much less upward mobility in the alliances on Pink than initially promised and tried to sort out if he could get a landing in Yellow by going to the stands, only for Kazuya to leave him hanging. I'd both love and hate if Kazuya just straight up ignored him, even though I want more info on what's happening. It feels like a mistake on Kaz's part though, they're both been in danger because of the same people (Captain Falcon/Squirtle) and if they connected here it would help out both of them a lot if they survive long enough to reach each other, especially if Falco did end up on Yellow.

Not only did I curse Mario to go in, he died First really tragic death I'd say, even if it did seem inevitable. Pink Team:
It felt like early in the merge when no one knew about the Pink Pact that this team had a really clear hierarchy but with Samus getting voted in unanimously has kinda fucked that up; I'm guessing someone in the Pact pointed out that keeping pseudo-inactives as votes is a reaaally easy way to get a huge target on your back when playing against folks that are going hard for their life. If I had to guess I'm betting Falco & Py/My have wormed their way in with some combo of Robin/Dark Pit/D3. I feel like PyMy and Dark Pit would have good banter maybe? I appreciate their return to the spectator stands but I was also surprised by it; were they hoping Kazuya would be returning? In the first few rounds it felt like they were trying to find better allies by going to the spectator stands, but in theory I'd expect them to have those now; they seem to low-key hate everyone in this game? Like, who are they actually friends with? Robin or D3 maybe? Yessss survive and be sassy! Also appreciate the 'Adequate' jab at Robin. The fact they missed the follow-up was kind of hard to watch. I'm impressed they've managed to weasel their way in! Pulling for them to go the distance. Seeing Dark Pit describe having to 'convince' them to keep inactives feels like such a smokescreen. I still like them but it's been so long since I've seen much from them, and they seem to have forgotten their own gimmick of Grima or being a tactician? Haven't seen much of them in public lately Haven't seen much of them in public lately, and I'm guessing by the posts in the Meetings thread they seem to have some IRL thing that's making them less active than they'd like? I hope everything's okay, but I also kind of feel like if they can't really dedicate the time to the game at this point then it might be for the best if they let go. Yellow TeamWhat the fuck is happening here, this seems like a nightmare to navigate? After speculating last time that there were two teams of three competing with someone in the middle, we get a spread of votes (5-2-1) that heavily suggest that at least one of those trios are much less solid than initially thought. Also the stray vote on Kazuya? Two votes for Plant? Yoshi seemed to 100% expect to get voted here too, so if it's that public why did two folks vote outside that? Not only that but both Kazuya and now Captain Falcon seem to be very reticent to actually divulge much of use in the spectator stands but in theory they should both know how their tribe works. Is it really just this messy? Their initial bravado had, at least for me, a sense of jovial charm? That seems to be absent from their more recent public postings; they've almost got a hostile feel with Dark Pit. It'd be interesting to see Captain Falcon go Blood Falcon here, but hopefully they don't go Black Shadow. Still a fun and cute public presence, but no gameplay presence at all, at least from my blind view. Still. Again. I guess they've managed to anchor their position a bit for now? Falcon saying they voted him off for being 'shady' feels like the lede is being buried, given how consistently people talk about Wario's somewhat manic tendencies; I mean even Dark Pit and Kazuya kinda shit talked him a bit in the spectator stands, and they're supposed to be friends? Ok, they wound up posting a little bit to Falco, fishing for info on how tight Robin/Dark Pit are and giving Falco a smash ball. They get to climb the rankings a bit. Wish they could have talked to Dark Pit more. They seem fine? Like most of this team it's been a while since they posted anything where I can see it! I'm warming up to them a bit, they have kind of a boring public persona but as the game goes on I think it's just they're playing themselves? And if that's the case I can't hate on them too much, maybe they're just introverted. Lord knows I am in any online space attached to a more real identity. I do find it funny that the supposed justification Capt. Falcon gave for justification for this vote was 'is a plant'. I'm mildly surprised they've lasted as long as they have. Saying they'll return to Yellow if they're promised they won't get revolving door'd- no shit Sherlock, anyone with two brain cells knows that's what you'd want. Honestly, I'm not even 100% sure why I dislike Yoshi at this point, other than the egg thing. It's definitely unfair and overblown, but I guess I'm committing to the bit. I think despite my occasional distaste for them I hope they beat out Samus; they do seem to at least be a bit more active. Samus Vs. Yoshi is a boring matchup. Pretty sure no matter where either goes they get revolving door'd. Maybe Yoshi could parlay egg bullshit into surviving, but I kind of feel like if they could have done that they already would have.
