Masahiro Sakurai For Skyloft duel: 1. Is it cheating to use external tools like anagram solvers? 2. I don't really understand the Enemies mechanic... assuming I manage the tile image URLs well, I should never really have a threat of posting enemies, is that correct...? You may use whatever approach to like to constructing words, solver or not, whatever you think is easiest. I can't say more about the underlying reason behind the enemies stuff until after the challenge is played I think. Your understanding of them sounds correct, though.

Yes to both of the other questions too!

UGH I tried to bid a bit "medium level" on the Attack Bag and lost out. Got greedy, now I am in some trouble. Worst of both worlds, burned those cards for nothing.
I am really a hot mess this game, how embarrassing! Everything would be fine if I just had been able to vote last night. Just terrible, I am not proud of myself.

Question time!
1. Wait, so say I survive my Monastery Duel and place 1st. I could, say, choose to go back to Red for the vote? (and would be competing with them on Grab Sandbag). But then we aren't voting out anyone tomorrow night?
2. And it's the Duelists chosen *tomorrow* (Thursday) who join Pink and Yellow (if they survived) after the snake draw? Does the winner bid on Pink or Yellow *after* they see the snake results, or before?
"The two surviving duelists from the round will list preferences for Yellow/Pink, and complete the swapped teams"

For the Monastery Mystery Sign duel:
Will we be told the finite possible set of operators, or really it's totally open and could be any operator that I may or may not know?

"The two surviving duelists from the round will list preferences for Yellow/Pink, and complete the swapped teams"1: You can absolutely choose to go back to Red, and there is still a vote tomorrow night. (see 2) 2: This is correct. The winner of the Thursday-Friday duel will know Pink and Yellow's rosters when they decide where they want to go.

For the Monastery Mystery Sign duel: Will we be told the finite possible set of operators, or really it's totally open and could be any operator that I may or may not know? It could be any operator, and that operation could be more complex than just one + or -. You'll need to infer the operation from the examples in the puzzle.

Right right, there is a vote for the Duel to see who gets to come back into Yellow vs Pink, right. Thanks.
I think this means I really don't want to go into the vote.... and it's critical my core alliance (if it's indeed still true) wins a Grab Bag and get's a good chain.
That also means I better be sure I'm not going into the Duel again, if I go all out on a Grab Bag...

Could the operator just be a stand in for any arbitrary algorithm? Or they will only be recognized math operators with widely recognized symbols? i.e. could the mystery symbol be any arbitrary piece of code? (Is the mystery symbol Turing Complete, is maybe what I'm asking lol)

I don't actually know what Turing Complete is and I'm a mathematician and am judging myself.

Are they guaranteed to be integers?
Part of me is wondering if the space is plausibly constrained enough for me to write some auto solver.... probably not? But I wish I had more time I might take a crack at it...

But I wish I had more time I might take a crack at it... Yep, integers. Solvers are fine if you're good enough to make one, but I'd disallow anything involving scraping the board or auto-posting and stuff. I can't say anything more than that on the subject though.

Oh man don't worry I'm not *that* good, I'd just be writing some shitty recursive code in whatever C# environment I usually use.
It actually sounds like a fun exercise but sadly I doubt I'll have time!

Don't worry I have not forgotten about The Duel, I am planning to do it at 5pm... sorry to push the announcement window that far!
But to be honest, I think it's in my benefit to reduce the discussion window, some scrambling going into the Swap is probably in my interest.

Masahiro Sakurai going to start the Duel soon but: do I just create a new thread in my board? Or does joining the official Group create some new thread for my answers? (Just trying to do as much pre-prep as possible)
