12 hours to go and I feel like I missed a full day somewhere. I figured I'd make this a public thread instead of 17 conversations.
Any of you got any thoughts on co-coordinating bids for items so we're not all blowing our cash?
Understandable if the answer is "No way True Blue Falcon! I'm keeping my bids to myself!" |

Immunity might be too important to share info on. Even the comms one might be too advantageous.
The Attack card is less useful, but still has some strategic value. I'd be more interested in throwing a bid that way if I knew no-one else was bothering with it.
Just a thought I had on my day off.

I personally wouldn't be opposed to getting the grab sandbag, but if anyone else feels very strongly about it I'm fine not betting for it

I'm not too fussed about any of the bags, I might go for the attack one (the stage select one, i think?) but if i do I'm bidding hella low.

The way I see it, we’ve got two options. Option one, everyone bid NOTHING!! And just let the spoils slide over to the previous victor, which just happens to be THE CAPTAIN! It’d be a heavy burden, but I’m willing to do it, for THE SAKE OF THE TEAM! C’MON!!
Don’t know why we’d even need a second option, but for the sake of debate, I’ll humour ya! In the early rounds at least, we may as well be a bit open so we’re not wasting our biggest cards right out of the gate. I was thinking about grabbing the ATTACK myself, wouldn’t mind sending the first duellists to THE BIG BLUE and starting this thing off with a bang! No bigger bang than an F-ZERO track! Whatt'ya think, Falc? Bidding war or do we sort this out like MEN?

Spot on, Falcon number 2. Big Blue sure looks like a stinker. The only worse one IMO is the one about guessing what people answered in the survey - pure pot luck.
Don't you get this power for free this round anyway? 
I think with the attack card, a low bid is only a ban. Good to save a challenge for later in the game, but feels a bit wasteful. If your aim is to actually select the stage, you may have to make a substantial enough bid to beat the other teams bids.

That’s a nice thought, Indigo Turkey, but THE CAPTAIN only got SHIELD and GRAB for the first round, ATTACK is gonna have to be bid on. Makes sense that BIG BLUE is the hardest stage in the game, would be a piece of cake for me though! I’d just love to show some of those goons what a real racing game looks like. It’s not really worth wasting my cards on, but I’ll talk with the boys in the stands and see if we can’t sort something out. THE CAPTAIN is an excellent negotiator.  |

Then should we not go for a week when the captain is not immune? We vote the captain into the arena for a duel then we all go for attack and for his home turf since he shall find it the easiest and easily eliminate one of the other team's member?

Interesting idea, Ike the Spike! I would love to head to BIG BLUE myself and show those jokers how it's done, but how's the rest of the team gonna fare without THE CAPTAIN here? I could never leave my crew behind- plus I'd win by such a margin it'd be downright humiliating for my competitors, and I'm not one to KICK somebody when they're already down!

We got it mostly in line last night, and I don't think anyone is begrudging Squirtle the immunity, or Captain Falcon the challenge-ban earlier? We're guaranteed one of the duelists to join us tonight, but in future rounds the guarantee is gone and I think we'll all be wanting the Shield a whole lot more. I think I'll bid on something tonight, I don't know what yet though. |
