Yeah, no rush, we've got a couple of hours which is super fortunate. Blue Team being strong is a consideration... but my worry is, in the state my tribe is right now? It's gonna breed a lot of bitterness from the people who get voted out, and those people very easily could go over to Blue and either A. Integrate as enemies of the Greens who survive, or B. Get voted out once more and let the Blue core survive without a scratch. So we've gotta figure out whether we want to infiltrate that and figure shit out, or if we want to try and strengthen a Green/Red relationship for when the swap comes around. Both are valid options.

Lol at your entire tribe being online rn while I'm here all by myself <3 If that ain't the goddamn theme of the game. I distinctly noted last night during the vote reveals, 7/7 of our tribe were on... and 3/7 of both other tribes.

Round 2

Post by Robin on Feb 14, 2022 16:46:06 GMT 10
One of the reasons I say blue seems strong is because Ike told me in PMs that he was going to go back to blue and Yoshi also said that his first choice was blue because there were people that would protect him there. With Piranha Plant also choosing blue first, it seems like they are all over the duelists and trying to convince them to come over to their side. Yoshi even said that their first vote was a split vote between Ike and Marth which just screams BS to me. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying we should immediately wage war on them, I just think it is something we both ought to keep in mind as the game progresses. I think you are right that we can either attempt to ingratiate ourselves in with them or team up against them or some kind of combination of both. It will depend on the context of if and how we land on a tribe with them. For what it's worth, I enjoyed speaking with Richter and Squirtle on the first day. You were my favourite though Captain Falcon gave me big liar vibes when I was here with him last round. I'm not sure if it's just his character or what but he seems sleazy as fuck. I am not at all surprised that there was a premade alliance going in to your team. In fact, that was one of the very first things I said to people here when we arrived. Those guys all strike me as the eager overplaying types so it follows they would do something like that. Wario in particular sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen. Sorry to laugh at your pain but I can't help myself when I think about your tribe having all of those pointless overlapping alliance while my tribe has literally none, lmao. Like I've spoken to some of the other activish people (the Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt and Samus...?) about voting off all the other losers first and that is pretty much as far as we have gotten. No group chats, no nothin'. Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't been involved in a single group chat this entire game. It's not up to me to tell you what to do and obviously only you know what kind of position you are in but I think you should just bide your time for now. Being fourth in an alliance of four in a tribe of seven isn't so bad right now. I suspect we will only be in these team for five rounds and then swap into two teams over the next weekend. If you make a move before then you will be showing your arse early. It may not seem like it but you are actually in a pretty opportune position, being able to closely observe those that are in power while plotting to step out on your own at some point in the future. As long as they continue to believe that you are in with them then you are free to play coy for now and make your move when the time is right. That is just my opinion, anyway. In saying that, if things do go awry and you want to come here then you are more than welcome. I really am looking for somebody to make my closest ally because I don't feel like I have that now. The fact that we are on different teams could even work to our advantage, since it would not be so obvious to others that we are working together. If we can both remain strong for the time being then I think we could be in prime position to take over the game later on. AND THEN THE WORLD.

Round 2

Post by Dark Pit on Feb 14, 2022 17:15:49 GMT 10
Ike PMd you?! Lucky... That is an interesting take, though, and I definitely could see that being the case. I guess we'll see who they vote out tonight? If Yoshi goes right back out, it could make people a little bit more wary about the Blue Team's promises. And honestly, if they do help the duelists, then they'll just end up burning their original members, so I guess it'll be tough for them to build too big of a monopoly no matter how things work out.
I loved Squirtle on the first day, was gutted to not end up on a tribe with him. Cap... Yeah, I dunno. Dedede mentioned that he was claiming to have made sure none of his teammates were going to spend a card on the Grab Bag? Which is a pretty gutsy thing to do, and hilarious that Ike decided to do so anyways. It's definitely at least partially in-character, though, so I won't judge too much until I interact with him substantially myself, he was good when we talked night one.
Consider yourself lucky to not have to deal with any alliances, it is so annoying having to say the same thing 3+ times in every different group, and it'll be annoying to keep them separate once I start having to lie over here. I think my real issue with sticking status quo here is... I'm pretty sure both KKR and Link have a lot of trust in me. I suspect the other 3 don't really feel like bothering with the 'bottom' of the tribe. Well, Wario definitely does, but I don't think Dedede and Kazuya are the same in that regard. Kazuya barely posts in the fake alliance he's in with me, and I can only assume Dedede is similar in the other. So it's like... if I /do/ follow through, I'll possibly make some enemies, considering I won't really be able to use the excuse of 'those three were just too tight!' depending on the numbers of the tribe. Then again, I guess I can just say I didn't want rocks, if we do vote one of them out at 6, in the event we don't get a duelist, or get someone volatile.
But yeah, I think I'll probably play it safe and just stick with those three, most likely, anyway. And I don't have a closest ally either, considering I know 3 members of my tribe are all closer to each other, and I'm likely to have to vote out one of, if not both of the other two, so I can't pretend I'm /that/ close with 'em. And a cross-tribe relationship like this could definitely slide under the radar.
Seems like we're voting Mario right back in over here, unless Wario is wildly against it. He hasn't been around all day, which is kind of odd. Though I've seen him online... Eh, I'm not gonna read into it. I think it's kind of shitty to revolving door, but Mario hasn't tried much with people over here from what I understand, and hasn't been much better with me.

What would happen if Mario went back over to Red? I told him I'd ask you, unprompted, to be fair. I just feel a little bit bad sending him back in, he asked outright if he was going in and I told him yeah, so I figured the least I can do is help him make an informed decision on where to go next. He said he liked you for telling him he was dueling last round, so hey, if we can get him good with us despite /both/ voting him into the duel, that's not bad, right?

If he came back here next round I would make an effort to keep him since there are still plenty of other options here but I do not want to guarantee anything. Some of these players are a bit simple and would probably like the easy options of sending him straight back in. I cannot imagine he would fare any better on Blue though, so it's probably his best shot, honestly.

I'm going to bid my lowest card on it and see what happens. Yoshi has posted in public that he is bidding 14% on the attack bag and I believe Duck Hunt is going to keep throwing his high cards at immunity for... Some reason. Other than that, I have no clue what is going to happen. It's hard enough getting base conversation out of these people, let alone their plans and strategies.

Duck Hunt's just REALLY trying to not look dangerous by getting rid of all their best cards. It's the next-level strategy.
So far everyone's said they're not planning to bid, so we'll see if that's true. I expect Mario to go for the Attack/Shield bags, I might just get Grab uncontested? Or someone will wisen up and drop a 1% on it, we'll see.
I think we lose this forum in five minutes, but good talking with you, man. Looking forward to ending up on the same tribe as soon as possible.
