Nooooo, Richter I was hoping that when he said that he messed the challenge up it was all in his head, but such a shame to see that it was actually true. He seemed like so much fun and he was the first one to "follow" me, which I had no idea was possible on this site lol. rip hilarious god!

I was considering downloading the plugin that disabled that feature, but tbh I kind of love how brazen people are with it. It's quite funny how people just add become friends with their teammates

I don't think proboards games would be the same without it

I saw Dark Pit had commented on a thread called round 5 and thought he'd been given the grab bag again.
Nobody new to meet on there, but at least it's something.

This last round was definitely a cooldown after the crazy round before, but I think with two of the duelists immune here and the swap coming up this round could be very interesting.

Not to be a pain, but can we see the Red/Green/Blue forums? I missed the tail end of yesterday and suspect at minimum blue probably had a bit more interesting discussion. If not no worries!
Yellow Team
This team is starting off as CF, Kazuya, Squirtle, DK, Wario, Marth and Plant.
Things that jump out to me are that CF & Squirtle seem to be a duo and Wario & Kazuya seem to be a duo. Marth & Plant are in an interesting spot here, having been voted out with both duos in the past. And then there's DK, who I don't think has any connections obvious connections here? This could be a catastrophe or a blessing in disguise, depending on how Marth and Plant feel about things and depending on if CF&S and W&K come together to form a core of 4 that can cut the outliers in the tribe to ribbons. The tricky thing there is that I think both CF&S and W&K are known tight pairings at this point, so folks might be disincentivized to head to Yellow, depending on how Pink looks.
Pink Team
This team is starting off as Dark Pit, King D3, Robin, Mario, K.Rool, Samus, and Duck Hunt.
Right away the most obvious thing we know from the spectator stands is Dark Pit, Robin, Samus and (probably/maybe) D3 as a fourth is a thing, but it seems unlikely that's public information, unless one of them is leaky the only other person who should have reason to think that might be a team is CF, and my guess is he's too preoccupied with his own woes to notice. That feels like an iron-strong alliance; Mario, Duck Hunt, and K.Rool all might struggle here. I'm predicting that Mario will be sent into the ring first, because it's just such a safe thing to do; Pit and D3 probably want to play nice with K. Rool for the time being and Duck Hunt must be decent given they've never been voted in.
The Ring
The ring is currently Link, Falco, Yoshi, and Pyra.
Pyra deciding to have the option to message everyone and figure out where they can safely land is probably a very solid idea right now; my impression is that their only close ally is Falco, who just got voted into the ring; she likely want to work with him to figure out what team they'll be safest on and then have both Falco and herself go there.
The other three are presented with an interesting situation, assuming they survive; what team to they want to land on? Yoshi's weird bullshit egg gimmick means it's impossible to know what decision he'll make, so I'm going to ignore his existence, and Falco is probably negotiating with both teams properly to find space for himself and Pyra. Link should be doing the same but he has the worst-timed PM ban imaginable. As an aside; I kind of hope he gets booted here for it. I feel like if you're new to these games and don't know much making the occasional rules blunder is understandable, but if you're trying to ID people then you're part of the community enough to understand how these things go. That being said both he and Falco seem extremely confident in trains, so it might be Yoshi? Which I would be a-okay with, honestly. I'm mainly rooting for Falco to survive this, even though dying after his extremely overconfident declaration would be incredible.
Snake Draft
I'm slightly confused on how this works; did Wario and Samus have all the power on this? For some reason I had initially thought it was player Y1 drafts player Y2, P1 drafts P2, P2 drafts P3, Y2 drafts Y3, etc. but now that I'm re-reading it looks like Samus and Wario get all of the power for who's on their team? If that's the case then Wario must be either confused or enraged that D3 and Dark Pit were so high on Samus's draft. There's also an interesting implication that Samus would have ranked most/all of Blue (or at least CF) very low in an effort to throw them elsewhere. Given D3 and Robin both didn't quite seem to vibe well with him maybe that makes sense.
Overall it's probably very exciting for everyone else, but I'm keenly aware that there's no spectator stands for now and therefor a quiet weekend ahead of us!

I'll add links to the hidden RGB Forums tomorrow when I'm properly awake! I'm sorry about the no Spectator Stands this weekend too. I promise there's a good reason for it. Wario and Samus didn't have all of the power. What happened was Wario picked someone, who picked someone else, and so on, so most people got to pick someone. The exact order was this: Pink: Team captain Samus selected Dark Pit, who selected Mario. Yellow: Donkey Kong selected Kazuya, who selected Squirtle. Pink: Mario selected King Dedede, who selected Robin. Yellow: Squirtle selected Marth, who selected Captain Falcon. Pink: Robin selected King K. Rool, who selected Duck Hunt. Yellow: Piranha Plant joined the team. The Mario selection by Dark Pit is savage. On The Ring, I'm dead at that Yoshi shade. He tried to cast a self-vote since an egg-holder told him to last round, which is funny but unfortunately not allowed. If I was there I'd want to go to Yellow right now; I think the Pink people not privy to the Spectator Stands plan could be in danger for a while here, whereas Yellow is more open

Lol, no worries! We all know Sakurai needs more rest than they get, there's no rush! "Whereas Yellow", indeed! From a pure design perspective having spectator stands for a weekend also feels far stronger than usual, so I had assumed it was out of fairness anyways. I totally get why it's the case! Or at least I totally get the reason I've invented in my head. Cool to see the draft picks, some surprises in there! Dark Pit picking Mario??? No idea what to make of that, has Mario integrated themselves with Samus/Robin, or is this a separate thing? I'm also seeing/assuming Wario picked DK over all of their allies, which is for sure a shock! Kazuya picking Squirtle over D3 is another shock, given how Dark Pit described the green team knots. Perhaps this is a play to limit Wario's ally options so that Kazuya can be assured of their relationship, if Wario was all over the place? Mario picking D3, picking Robin, makes me wonder if Samus/Dark Pit/Mario/D3 is a set, but it's hard to know. Squirtle picking Marth over CF is another surprise, I guess maybe they're not as close as the voting would have had us believe! Marth picking Captain Falcon might answer where they land group-wise in Yellow, but it might be a function of priority as well; half of the cast has already been picked at this point, and yellow in particular already had all of the core members of the alliance (to my knowledge) on other side selected. I feel like Robin picking K.Rool is more of a function of reaaally not wanting Duck Hunt or Plant, he's been pretty outspoken about his distaste for some of the other red team members. K.Rool picking Duck Hunt over Plant suggests to me that wow people don't care for the Plant much, eh? Based on this delightful bit of info, hazarding a guess at some potential alliances: and Maaaaaaaybe and/or ? Dark Pit suddenly seems SO shifty to me. I'd love for this to be true though! Blue gang blue gang. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you I feel like I'm already aware that DK wasn't doing well in their own tribe, and Wario was in the ring, which means he could have charmed DK pretty well then and offered him a second shot at a tight group. I could also see any combination of Wario, K.Rool, D3 and Kazuya working together and taking DK's spot later, but DK's not to know that. Hilariously if both of the above (MSCF and WDKK) are true, then Plant is in a hilarious 7th position, unliked but with a decent bit of power? They'll get another member before the next vote though, so who knows how that'll shake out. That being said, I'm choosing all of them to be trying to negotiate with Plant at the same time and wish them all some good fucking luck with it! Quite obviously a duo. I'm hopeful they both jump to Yellow because A) They're probably in the dark about what I'm coining as the "Pink Pact" and B) I think it would be reaaally interesting for them to have to choose between the blue gang that already had to vote them out or live in Wario's world which according to Dark Pit is a nightmare tangle of alliances. Which leaves Yoshi, Link, Duck Hunt, K.Rool, and Plant out at sea as far as what I know is going on with them. Fucking lol at Yoshi getting told to self-vote though, I guess I'm not the only one that isn't too hot on them. I don't think Link had much of a place on Green? Dark Pit and D3 both seemed pretty lukewarm on them. I guess we'll see if they can fix that. K.Rool is an enigma, but I'm very aware that I don't know much about them; Dark Pit seemed okay with them I guess but other than that who knows. I don't think Duck Hunt and K.Rool are working together (when would they have formed an alliance? I don't think they had an opportunity outside of day 1) but they might wind up having to if they want to survive the Pink Pact. No one likes Plant (probably not actually true, technically they could have been the second pick of every single other person in the game and still had these results. The only thing we know for sure is they are nobodies first pick and almost certainly nobodies' second.) After how blue went it's probably worked out that no one thinks it's worth the trouble to decrypt what they're saying.

The "core 3" of green team may actually not be the case ,depending on what we make of D3s last spectator stand appearance. Like he said Wario was a chance to be put into the ring again.
I'm assuming Plant was probably the bottom of everybodys's lists, except where they have more direct enemies at large.

Yeah, but according to Dark Pit that's according to Wario's plan? But yeah, it's hard to know what green team alliances are real. I figure DK and Kazuya are legit close though, because Wario picked DK over the entire rest of the game (other that Dark Pit or Mario) and DK prioritized Kazuya highly despite those two supposedly never having talked before.
I do wonder if CF and Squirtle would have had Plant on their lists at a reasonable height, just lower than Marth in Squirtle's case? I guess it'll be a mystery for a while yet.

I assume Falco picked pink to get away from the Captain. We'll have to see how he goes.
And Plant getting immunity again!

Well I guess duck Hunt going in once they lost immunity makes sense as well. Even if I don't understand why they were bidding so much on immunity in the first place.
I'm guessing Falco has learned about the pink pact with him going for immunity though. Probably means P&M will be in trouble next.

Yeah, it feels like maybe the Duck Hunt boot being unanimous maybe was a mistake? Also, Pyra's quote here; 1. Whichever team has a non-immune Piranha Plant on it. in response to being asked what team was most appealing for survival if you get booted into the ring had me cackling, it's such a bitchy thing to say. Wario getting sent back in is either the dumbest move he could make or some of his other questionable choices (at least in the eyes of other players) have caught up to him. It feels like no matter where he ends up he's just going to get bounced around until he dies, so I kind of hope he does die here and it lights a fire under Kazuya/K.Rool to figure some new shit out. Duck Hunt's ominous 'Going to blow up your games if they survive' line feels like kind of nothing will come of it but I can hold out hope it'll be exciting! Wario's decision to pull in DK as an extra to vote off last round definitely looks like a mistake now, but I guess only time will tell. It's interesting Kazuya suggested to Dark Pit that maybe K.Rool flipped? I feel like that's pretty unlikely, and more likely the Blue team core of three saw a chance to chip away at or fracture the other large voting bloc on Yellow and both Plant and Yoshi were happy to go for it. From our vantage point I feel like Pink feels pretty well consolidated at this point, but it'll be interesting to see if Falco and/or Pyra can shake things up here. I'm kind of doubtful though. Hopefully they survive the duel, I'd rather they get to Yellow and manage to find a more stable footing. Pyra especially mentioning she's been afk for a bit in a recent public post suggests that they might be a prime candidate for KO

Not the results I was expecting to occur since my last login.
But lol at pink pact, or what's left of it not bidding for the shield.
I'm assuming the pink pact does otherwise still exist anyway.
DP be being a snake in the spec stands again though. I hope he doesn't actually end up having a downfall.

My take is that Pink has made some errors in getting to this point, but the truth of this round is that Samus has been much less active of late. Pink pact is still a thing, to an extent.
