The swap announcement reactions are funny. Robin, who played Hyrule Warriors, and Dark Pit, who is smart and experienced, are both fake-surprised, but half of the cast is actually super wrong on this lmao

Piranha Plant put up a great 8/10, and I'd say that probably means safety. Would not want to be Marth or Wii Fit right now.
I should also mention that Mario and DK turfing Wii Fit is a fun turn of events given their Vietnam histories.

It's pretty rough that 3 of the best people at maths challenges all happen to be in the same dual all 3 of them are known to be pretty good at challenges in general, and i reckon most of them would have fancied their challenges at winning so it's a shame one of them has to lose
in this sense i think piranha plant is very lucky to be going up against two capable opponents 8/10 is indeed a great score and may take it. if plant was up against people who struggled at maths challenges and won 8-3-2 or something, it would raise their threat level to astronomical levels given plant also completely dominated at 20 levels

Blue could end up being very interesting this round, since I can see any of the four being the boot this round. Falco wants to boot Squirtle, Squirtle wants to boot Pythra, Captain Falcon is willing to do whatever to survive and Pythra seems to want either Falcon or Squirtle, unsure which? WFT could also join, though Falcon seems unwilling to cut her just for appearance sake?
Green will likely try to convince someone to volunteer again. Red... no idea? Mario seems to have gotten some safety, good for him. And it might just be a Yoshi boot, maybe even a WFT boot if she goes back but idk.
I think Marth will lose this duel as 6/10 isn't that great, I'm not good at these and even I got that in under 10 mins because I misread the time limit (edit: 7/10 now that we're allowing the alternate answer for F, but still)

Wii Fit is taking forever to do the duel, thinking that it'll cause a scramble. It's a bit misguided, I think. When you have activity concerns circling you from self-votes a show of enthusiasm with an early duel would surely help. The stated reason of wanting to cause a scramble is a bit dicey too; most of the duelists have immunity anyway so they've not really been factoring much into plans.

Yeah her plan is the opposite of what she should do. If someone new joins me right before a swap I'm punting them immediately and not wasting time on a new interaction in the last 2 hours. Her having activity concerns will just make this look doubly like she's just not around rather than it being strategic.

Today's Tabuu topic of the day is.... procrastination. Because I totally forgot that the deadline was now and never posted a round recap, nor did we post our fingers
Falco and Link both volunteered, which is surprising as neither of them are players I would think of when I think of challenge beasts? Yoshi is actually being sent in this round as the tribe just does not seem to connect with him for shtick reasons (and I can understand it, I think the reliance on egg votes holds him back even if he could just say "here have 17 eggs this round!" and turn it into basic strategy), but he seems to have accepted it. A simple round because they're all trying to focus on keeping connections before the swap, and one that may backfire on them all here. Duck Hunt is very lucky that his round 1 alliance carried him through, as most of the tribe just haven't heard from him at all and he will likely be the first swap boot unless he steps it up.
Top 5 This Round:
1. Donkey Kong
2. Falco 3. Captain Falcon 4. Mario
5. Pyra/Mythra

With a weekend break ahead I figured I'd aim for two sets of fingers, one about their final moments on their original tribes and the other as a mid-round update on how they're adjusting. Falco is definitely a challenge slut lol, I remembered and found this from years back when we were discussing our ORG Achilles Heels: Being too good at challenges. "/ I am serious. I win enough for people to always flag me as a threat yet I'll still screw them up often enough that I am then taken out because of the other wins. As of late (Iconic, Pixar, Expendables) I seem to start my social game off very slowly too. I get up to speed later, but I can't do the openers like I used to and I've been in big danger very early in each.

This is horrible for Link, and I can't see him surviving barring a big surprise result. Falco will pick a puzzle he excels at, and that will benefit Yoshi too. Link definitely has the potential to do well, but he's up against two titans.

I'm so glad to see the blogs have been all praise for me, I don't know what I was worried about.
In fact I'm so happy, I don't think I'll even read any further.
