WHITE LAND Do ya hear the rising tension in that JAM above? Well the tension is rising, and WHITE LAND is all about Dangerous Steps, or dangerous missteps as the case may be. For real though, this track is a fucking BITCH and it's so easy to fall off, and unlike Baby Mario Kart, fall off = game over. Thank god for Wii U Virtual Console save states. Also RIP Wii U Virtual Console.

ON WEIRD PLACEMENT DYNAMICS
So in my recorded history, I've never placed 11th, 9th, or 8th. Ain't that weird? I'm up and out tonight, I'll be 11th, which is also CAPTAIN FALCON's number, so silver lining there. 10th would kinda be lame, so may bid on SHIELD here. Then I'll be safe for two rounds since I do think there's just a weird universe thing that prevents me from finishing 8th or 9th. I'm either early boot or end-gameish. But if I make 8 with my smash ball, I'll use SHIELD for 7 for sure, cos that'd be a dicey round and fuck 7th place. I'm just talking complete shit right now, sorry.
ON OTHER STUFF
Tonight everyone is talking about "working together in the future" and all that jazz, and seems like everyone has settled on twins vs. Yosh but I don't know if I but it. Everyone could be pulling the wool over my eyes here. On paper that works fine for me, allows us to mobilise against green next round, and honestly Yosh and the twins are both pseudo-allies, so fine with one of them plopping off here while I'm not getting my hands dirty in the process. We'll see if things EXPLODE, I'm expecting they will. This is just an absolute mess of connections and groups and dynamics, no clue how it's gonna shake out. Kazzie keeps whipping up these alliances, he needs to COOL is jets! On the one hand, I really do feel good about Kaz here. Unless he's really snowing me, I feel like we've formed something genuine. On the other hand, he's overplaying and needs to chill out, cos it could put all of us in danger. Arena just does not really work like that... cos what could an alliance of 6 even really accomplish? It'd immediately leak and everyone would know about it. And then the other side just forms a counter alliance and so it's just another side war. I'm working on just forming individual bonds here, while also aware pinks are probably sharing info like crazy and talking about how THE CAPTAIN is in everyone's biz. Hope not, I'm just taking what is coming to me and not making promises right now. But we'll see how it shakes out. Someone's taking a shot at Cap & Bluey at some point here regardless, gotta hope it's Squirt they take! Or even both of us- since I know Squirt is skittish about THE RING, maybe I could take him. Honestly good people to align with right now are people good at challenges, cos they stick around. But think there's too many floating around right now. Idk, I'm just talking shit again. Good news is, I'm not feeling that stress I was earlier in the weekend, pretty comfortable just riding this out and seeing where the chips fall. Back in my "have fun for as long as I can get away with it" perspective, and if I find myself still here at 8/7, I'll start scoping out endgame scenarios.
