Ugh, devo I didn’t make the finals so that we could get male Robin in the white mage robes.

I can shed some light on the last vote. Cap & I voted Wario, Wario & Yoshi voted me.

I wanted Wario & Yoshi to see Cap's threat level and be forced to vote him in instead of me. Being how bad I screwed the pooch there, you can imagine why.

But Wario voted me & requested Yoshi do Cap. If either Cap or I buckled, it's be 2-1-1 and a revote. But neither of us did.

And then to compound it, Yoshi also voted me based on logic that I would beat Wario in a duel, and a him-me-Cap F3 was his best chance to win.

I got greedy thinking I could both get that sweet Wario-Yoshi-me F3 & also avoid that duel. I had to cast my vote before I knew the Cap/Kaz result too which didn't help.

I figured I'd struggle against Cap in Finals - but that it wasn't impossible. Reading in here, maybe it was impossible after all, but from inside, I didn't think his game was all that. Some of his moves need explaining at FTC to get my vote here. Having a pocket Yoshi vote made his ride much easier so long as Yoshi was prime target. But once Yoshi wasn't and he had to start playing his own game, he self-sabotaged his control of that extra vote for reasons?.. I don't know why? The Squirtle vote in particular gave up easy street for a path that was full of potholes.

(Also I'm still curious why Kazuya voted Dede that time. You might shed some light now we're wrapped. Could mean brownie points for Cap.)

Yoshi was great to talk game theory with, one of my faves to chat to. But the egg-strategy made actual strategy talks about this game worthless. And knowing he was using the info all over the house didn't help either. I'm curious to hear how much agency he actually had. But I probably land in the camp of not wanting to reward a game like that in the fears it might catch on.

I actually lean to voting for Wario here. Complete lack of social nous aside (and sloppy pre-merge?), his strategy game since merge has been on point. Getting over the fall-out on Gold to sitting behind the Cap/Squirtle pair, always willing to shake things up, used Yoshi's vote much better than anyone else did, positioning himself to dodge everything at F6. All things I like.

His FTC is going to be a hot mess too, which should be fun.
