Er, I kinda hated dealing with you for a good half of this but you grew on me in the end and I kinda felt like I had actually been misinterpreting you rather than the other way around? But I do also feel kinda validated reading those host comments LOL. You were great in your own way though

With the amount of general gamebotty-ness this cast felt like at times, GOD it was fun to just shitpost about eye laizurs and alliance names with you. Most fun person in this cast, easy. I got more terrible teamup names for days Dark! All we had to do was team up with a bunch of new allies so I could portmanteau them together! Masahiro Sakurai On the topic of eggs, I feel like I gave the players enough to keep track of without you adding even more on top of it. I do feel like it threw things off a bit at times, but there's plenty to celebrate here, and I'll accentuate the positive here. For someone who hasn't played that many ORGs, you've really settled in as a challenge monster to be feared, and you claimed some major scalps here. Part of it was from circumstance and friendly Sandbag holders, but it is a massive achievement all the same. Props for really engaging with the challenges and picking out the concepts you knew you'd excel at. More than anyone else, you made the most of the way challenges worked here. Making it to the end for the first time is a big achievement, and you have a natural charm that endears you to people. I think there's a valuable lesson in that; while it's fun to experiment with the gimmicky stuff, you never know when you'll have the opportunity to snare a win. If you'd given yourself the chance, maybe you'd have managed it here? Sandbag Oh Yoshi... I don't know what to say here. I (and the other hosts) were pretty disappointed by the egg "strategy". It definitely felt like a very artificial and intrusive set of rules to impose on your game, and while I'm sure that you are happy to see its success in making the final 3 it really is sort of just... expected at a point. You immediately gave up any chance at victory the second you gave away your means of decision making, and after 5 attempts to eliminate you it just wasn't worth the effort anymore and people were forced to include it. Personally, I don't think it was a particularly fair or fun thing to put the other players through either, as interesting as it could've seemed. But on the bright side, I thought your general performance as Yoshi was great. Cute and charming, and your pm's reveal a solid player with good social game that does exist, and I would've much preferred getting to see that person in action making their own decisions. I'm sorry I can't be more positive because I think you're a really awesome guy but this just didn't do anything for me.
The eggs were a bad gimmick, but I feel like they probably weren't intended to last all game as you make FTC lol The sad part was I think without the eggs you probably have a good shot in this game? Because people LIKED Yoshi, Yoshi was fun! And even on red the eggs were the reason you were booted, it just felt like the gimmick only ever hurt you in the long run. Despite the shtick you did have a nice social game when you were able to just talk beyond that, and your challenges skills were unmatched here. Dark Pit and Pythra are two of the better challenge players and you defeated them easily in your third game, there is a lot of power to that and you should be happy with that performance

The one ID I was sure of! Falco, was so much fun! Glad we got to play almost the entire game together as friendly rivals.

Enjoyed playing with you Kaz! Was really hoping to see you in the F3 when I logged back on, would have made the decision a lot easier. Me too M-Dawg. I guess now I can vent at Captain Falcon for splitting votes when it's the one thing I told him not to do! But for a hovering finger over the reply button in the 'votes' thread ay? That was my messiest round of the game. I still can't explain my thought process there.

Yoshi... I conceptually appreciate the thought experiment of the eggs, even if I fucked hated it in practice. I was just way too blunt to pretend I was gonna play nice with a gimmick that was obviously never gonna synergize with my game.

So proud of you Jyagaimasu To go from 3rd out in your first ORG, having never even watched competitive reality television at all, to being a finalist in your third ORG and such a challenge slut, really is remarkable. I do believe the egg angle was an unfortunate handicap in the end as I do think you genuinely would have worked within the same groups on social and strategic levels regardless, but I don't begrudge you for trying something unique. You've always been refreshing and sweet and Yoshi was no different.

Oh, and congrats on being the new challengewhore. Please take the reins from me, I'd love to win comps in a game and not get ID'd for it.

Masahiro Sakurai How about this for a second game? Even as runner up, multiple votes at FTC is nothing to be sniffed at! This game will certainly come with its fair share of chances for you to learn from it, too. It's not like you've lost performing at the peak of your abilities, and you should take heart from that. It means you have a win in you if you iron out the kinks! Speaking honestly, I'm still a bit surprised you made it this far. Part of that is that you repeatedly exceeded expectations. How you kept the plates spinning on Green long enough for the phase to end was impressive, and you proved to be a solid duellist too despite a lack of experience, which is something I always love to see. By the time the merge happened, you were overlooked for a while, until you made that stunning move at the Final 5. The Final 4 self-vote bait thing was baffling, and winning the final duel was as well given Falco's skill, but I think those two rounds summed you up perfectly. Part brilliant, part insane, and too abrasive for your own good. It wasn't always a comfortable watch, but you gave the game so much, and I can only appreciate that. Better to be an antagonist than to be boring. Minor footnote, but I'd probably try to use hosts as part of your plans less. It makes our job a lot harder. Though the margin shifted since, nearly giving up when the votes were 4-4-2 wasn't cool either. Sandbag I didn't know what to expect from you going into this season and I'm still not really sure what we got. I don't know if I will ever understand anything you did in this game. Your social strategy was commanding and impulsive. You had the willingness to make big moves but lacked the finesse necessary to convince anyone else of why it was good for them. I think you have a lot of the best qualities in an ORG player. You are engaged and active and able to talk through scenarios, and I genuinely think you could be an absolute force in these games but as it stands you were sorta just... rude? Ignoring people when they weren't relevant to you and expecting them to care about a word you say when you come to them with a plan later on is just poor. If you could take a breath and really try to examine someone else's position, and talk to them with that in mind (with a focus on talking with them and not at them) you would have an infinitely easier time of getting to play the way you want to. Which in turn would take you from someone people don't take seriously to someone people are FORCED to take seriously. I think you can do so much better, and I think you could've locked this game up if your attitude wasn't so abrasive. Props where it's due, your Final 5 move was absolutely masterful. It was a game-winning move, even with the reputation you had. And yet between you and Falco you missed the forest for the trees and didn't target Cap at all? And then you regretted the move at FTC? That should've been your big thing you pointed to as to why you deserved to win. You went from a possible future with Cap or Kaz or both at Final 3 and guaranteed you had the best chance at eliminating both. But then your F4 move? Ahh well.
edit: And you're like... giving up during ftc? with 4 votes (at the time)
I hope you don't feel too down about this ending, because you really did deserve the votes you got here! You really had all the makings of a winner here, and I think the main issue was just experience to know how to fix the other elements... and the fact that you were kinda rude or dismissive of people, especially when they weren't in your plans that round. It did seem like you saw yourself as the main character in an edited ep of Survivor, if that makes sense? Probably not Anyway, your move at the final 5 was phenomenal and the best play anyone made this game, the way you took control of that round and manipulated the situation to have a 2-1-1-1 vote that you knew was happening so you could decide both duelists alone? Masterful. You really have all the makings of a star player here, and I know once those other issues that people mentioned are fixed a bit you will have a win before too long. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you!

OMG! Wow I really thought Yosh was an old-hat experimenting with an out of the box strategy for lulz. Yosh, you were a total sweetheart. Loved our relationship through this. I feel like the eggs will only get more and more iconic and hilarious with time. Bathe in the yolk!

You were a sweetheart in this, Yoshi Honestly I didn't really care about the eggs one way or the other. If that is how you wanted to play then it was on the rest of us to try and accommodate that. Or just boot your arse when we got sick of it, but that never worked out I really appreciated you as a strategic ally on the red team and throughout the merge though, even if we were never truly aligned in our goals or methods.
