 Masahiro Sakurai 20th place for Richter? You've got to be kidding me! Witty, engaging and likeable to boot, you were fantastic in your short time here. I respect the dedication to the cause that is trawling through seas of Richter fan-art, which knowing the internet I am sure will have scarred you for life. It's impossible not to talk about the boot round. Everything about that day was like a slow-motion trainwreck; utterly tragic, but impossible to look away from. You so very nearly flipped your vote to avoid rocks, drew the purple rock, and then had the challenge disaster. Had any of those things not happened, you'd have probably cruised to the merge, and yet what happened happened, and we were cruelly deprived of you after less than a week.  Still, at least it was self-inflicted. If you're going to crash and burn, you might as well do it in style, and I would struggle to think of a better pre-merge boot arc ever. Master HandI was hella excited to see you'd signed on to play because I knew you would never do so unless you could invest everything you had into playing, and my faith in you was rewarded immediately You were a standout from Day 1, it seemed inevitable you'd do well in this. The sudden downfall was shocking and while one can't help but think what might have been, the way you took it was remarkable. Sandbag To be perfectly fair, being hot and dumb is probably too powerful anyway. You were so fun here and really kicked the game up a notch with your exit. As Sakurai said there was this crazy host of circumstances that were all necessary for this to occur, and in a way I'm glad it did because it was so exciting and clearly had giant repercussions that resonated throughout the rest of the game... but maaan that's so rough lol. Thank you!
Hot dumb KING One of the best premergers I've ever seen, maybe THE best. Everything about your boot round was chaotic in the absolute best way, so messy that you'd think it was fake. Switching votes from Captain Falcon to Pythra to avoid rocks, only to switch seconds late and cause a tie, and then switching and switching BACK during the revote and causing rocks, only to draw the purple one yourself and then fuck up the challenge permissions and die from it... poetry. That whole round was what made me excited for this game.
Yes you died long before your time, and had that not happened you were a lock for merge and maybe even a winner contender based on how loved you were, but this arc may have been even better?
