 Masahiro Sakurai You had somewhat of a rough time navigating things here. Real-life got in the way for the double self-vote, and you had a bit of a fixation on Yoshi that left you blinkered. Your Mystery Sign score was good, you just ended up duelling at a really bad time on a really bad stage given who your opponents were, but more on that in a second... Leaving with a Smash Ball was a real shame too, especially after you'd done so well to find it! It was a bit of a cursed run where you could never catch a break, and I hope in future non-live games you take advantage of pre-vote lists more.  Still, I remain a big fan of you, and I loved seeing you dissect the format while you were around. Master HandI'm not used to players who went far in their Australian Survivor debuts diving into another ORG so soon, so it was nice to see you take the plunge and I think there is so much about you that is suited to this particular format. Unfortunately it didn't work out in your favour as you were busier this time. Still I loved that you backed yourself in the Ring and you definitely had some good initial momentum. Sandbag I feel like I missed out on prime Wii Fit Trainer. I was super excited to see you play after hearing about your season and seeing you talk about where you thought you were strong and how to shore up your weaknesses but you just couldn't really get a foothold. I figured you would be one of the primary engagers with the entire Sandbag system (and that was only more exciting after you found the Final Smash!) but then it just sorta... ended. I hope I get to see you play again in the future and I can see you at your best.
You had so much potential!  You were fun, engaging and in the core of the tribe. But those pesky selfvotes really doomed you here, the red team couldn't justify keeping you in after the second one and then you lost because you got some really unlucky opponents where all three of you were sure you were winning, but only two could be correct. I think you can be great in future, and I know you've got the challenge potential just based on Vietnam's showing, just didn't work out this time. |

 Masahiro Sakurai So mistakes happen, and while I bear no ill-will to you whatsoever, I do think it was just as well you left when you did. That ID rule breach was really, really serious, and you were probably fortunate not to be removed then and there. Having said that, it shouldn't detract from how good you were to watch before and even after. I don't know what you've done in the last year, but you really have honed your style so much since Sicily. Even though you went pre-merge here, I think you showed a lot of improvement. If you'd have been on Red and not the Villains tribe, you'd have probably cruised to the swap. Your love of Zelda was something I never knew about you before this, but seeing obscure references to Captain N made me smile a lot, as a massive Nintendo nerd. Once you got to Loser's Lodge, your engagement in challenges and general banter was something I really appreciated as well! Master HandI'll confirm for Masahiro Sakurai that this would be your Closed-ID debut outside Australian Survivor  It was great to see you'd signed on to play and you were invested as you were the first time we saw you, super appreciative about all aspects of the game too which is always nice. I think you know by now that you weren't actually in the core of Green, but you still held your own and fought and through that delayed going into the Ring until it was something you could take ownership of. This was another learning experience and I'm keen to see the way you continue evolving. Sandbag This was unfortunately the best result for the time. You realllllly gotta be careful, but not to dwell on that. You were a fun and dynamic presence for sure, and while I felt like I didn't really get to see you engage strategically all that much I thought you were a really fun presence around. Your public posts always stood out and your commitment to the game even post elimination is laudable  Thank you for playing!
So I'll start with the positives, and that is that you were great here! Engaged, a little out of your depth with the tribe but still doing your very best to keep up, it was a nice arc and I liked that you were able to survive as long as you did when originally you seemed doomed. And i do love that you've been the most active pre-juror, it is beyond appreciated and you've done a better job at keeping the prejury alive than the jury did with their section (besides a couple people).
But yeah, you know the ID mishap was bad, so I won't harp on it. I don't think that kind of thing will happen again after this so it's just a learning thing I guess.
