Thank you for being part of Super Smash Arena: Ultimate! This is your confessional area, a private space that is yours to do what you like with. We've even disabled the post counter, so nobody will see how much or how little you confess. You can use your confessional to do any or all of the following:
- Explain your strategies
- Talk about your experiences
- Ask the hosts questions
- Store information and resources
plus anything else you can think of. Just bear in mind that whatever you say will be visible to all once the game ends. To help you along, the hosts will pop in from time to time to ask questions. Hiya, outside of this I will be talking in Yoshi third person, but in here because I will be aiming to type a lot (hopefully), I won't go to that effort. In any case I want to clear this with mod(s) first before I post it as it is unusual enough for me to want to confirm it is legal before I post it globally (and also to draft it). <Start of Message> Yoshi's EggsYoshi wants to inform everyone of the way things will be working with them during this exciting competition! Yoshi will have 10 eggs that they will be distributing among other competitors. Yoshi will let everyone know through private messages whether or not they have one of Yoshi's Eggs. These will be chosen randomly.
These eggs will affect the way Yoshi plays the game and Yoshi hopes you all can read this and prepare accordingly.
Yoshi will be playing with the following rules in affect for them:
- Yoshi will never lie in public forums. Yoshi reserves the right to ignore anything however.
- Yoshi will never confirm who has Yoshi's eggs except for whether or not You have an egg.
- Every vote Yoshi casts (outside of duel challenges should they require so) will be decided by the majority of votes communicated to Yoshi by Egg holders.
- Eggs are non-transferable.
- Should a player with an egg be lost to the void, the egg is also lost.
- Votes communicated to Yoshi will not be revealed to anyone.
Yoshi would like to thank everyone and hope they have a great time!

Does the player choosing The Ring first remain the ability to communicate with everyone, included both players in a team and players who aren't in a team yet?

It is how I will actually vote, I will follow my statement to the letter, but no further. Any loopholes can and will be exploited. I will hopefully detail my strategy more fully tonight (or tomorrow). |

Yay, time for me to break out of third person, what a relief. Wow, today was stressful. I thought that I had an extra hour to send the DMs for the eggs but I didn't so I rushed to finish them and then when half of them didn't send I had to make sure I got the Ring pick just so I could message everyone still. As for my strategy behind the Ring pick apart from the ability to finish my egg DMs, I was very much wanting to be the ring player. I intend to be somewhat of a bouncer, I know that getting into the big alliances is not my strong point. However despite me normally doing decently in challenges, there is no way I can get a streak of more than like 3 wins in a row. This means that I need an end game knowledge, and the best way I can work through that is by getting alliance information early. Being able to DM everyone seems 100% worth the negative of not being part of the original tribe. With how quickly the tribes are going to be switching around with the challenges, it doesn't seem necessary to be "one of them" immediately. As a player who is planning to be a float, establishing communications in all of the groups is necessary, I am surprised people think it is a bad option. Now for my major decision I made this game: The Eggs. Now I know that voting power is everything in a game of survivor, and giving it all away makes me look like a pretty poor alliance member for both people with and without an egg. However that is the catch. Since I am confident enough in surviving multiple duels, I believe I can make it to end game, in fact I have gambled highly on it. I feel like by the final 7 or so, players won't consider me a political threat they need to remove, and hope they can save me for later. I know there is no way I am not in the final duel if I make it that far, I am gambling on winning that duel and making it to the final 3. If that happens I believe this unorthodox strategy should be enough to guarantee me a win. TL/DR: This is a low percentage win option, it relies on me winning a bunch of duels, but I believe the percentage chance of winning is higher than 1/22, which when you think of it, is a worthwhile strategy. Also I just like causing chaos. So now I guess we see how this plays out. It seems like I have friends in blue already, so I am very much considering going there after this challenge if I get the chance. Either way I will tally everything in the next post for my ease of knowledge. Also so you mods don't need to calculate it  . |
