Back to this.

I've been averaging ~40-60 seconds on the 6x6, about 40-120 on the 8x8, and 120-180 on the 10x10s. So the multiplier weighting is fairly accurate. And 10x10 is where you can make the best time.

However, while the main goal is to win, the true goal is to just not lose. And with the 10x10s, every so often you just get stuck, and the grid is too big to parse what you are missing. I've had some 8minute, 10 minutes attempts, and one of those would probably kill me. So 8x8 seemed right.

I solidly dislike my time in that challenge and am feeling very sheepish.

I did give the 10x another spin afterwards, and shifting to the 8x when I did was the right choice. If only I'd done so from the beginning I didn't keep time, but it felt like about 6 minutes (doubled). Of all the practicing I did, that is my worst time by far. My 8x were never over five, and 10x about ten minutes tops. Sugar.

Still, gotta play like I am not out, until I know that I am. And Yoshi is stalling his duel a few hours more.

The choice of Yellow or Pink is the last thing I need to do tonight. Yellow seems obvious. What was the point in volunteering otherwise? And so much of Pink are a mystery.

Of the people new-to-me, I like DK & KRool the most so far, which are both rather unexpected. Staying at Pink would probably result in a DK boot soon though.
