All three of their jury reads are kinda bad lol. Not one of them had me down for Captain Falcon even though I have been his biggest advocate here and even said to all of their faces in the game that I thought he was the biggest threat to win  In-game Jury reads were way off in general, mine included.
I was allegedly getting every single Pink vote if only I made the end. Personally I didn't think all, but I figured you, Myrtle & Dede were pretty locked and Pit was unlikely. Way off  |

Yeah, it can be pretty hard to tell from within the game sometimes. I left at the point just before I really had to start thinking about it, so it's easy for me to sit here and talk shit.

There was general feeling of threat level being Cap/Kaz >> me(?) >> Wario >> Yoshi, which isn't a million miles off - but I can see after landing here that anyone calling the specific voters was miles off.
I'll be curious to see how close their predictions to K.Rool's question end up being.

But with my TZ and needing to vote 8 hours in advance often, it seemed the right thing to do. Just keep targeting Yoshi and he can't get too pissed cos he set it up like that, and no-one else gets too worried that I'm targeting them if I'm always vocal about Yoshi.
About F8 I pivoted that to be "non-duelists", which was very soon just Cap.

Wario had Captain Falcon at first and himself at sixth in his ranking of how well people played the game I also noticed the Captain was the only one who had themselves winning in their predicted jury votes which is telling. |

As for my question, I feel the Captain's answer was most aligned with my own perspective. I agree that voting for Yoshi to go in against Dark Pit was an oversight and one that could have easily been avoided. I acquiesced to voting Yoshi this time (the first round of the merge I was just overruled) because I was being greedy by wanting to maintain my relationships with the Captain and Squirtle for later, but considering they voted me out the very next round, that didn't amount to much anyway. I feel less regret for voting Squirtle over the Captain the following round because there was really no way for me to tell which of them would be better at challenges. I knew that Yoshi was formidable though and should never have allowed my baby to go in against him. That, or I should have just bid higher on attack after Yoshi literally told me that Squirtle was going high for it, lol. I legit had this strange feeling in my gut that I needed to go up to 35 but I ignored because, again, I was being greedy.
I don't really agree with Yoshi's answer to my question tbh. Like, sticking with the OG reds over Dark Pit and King Dedede was never a viable option to me. I don't think I was on the "bottom" of the pink team and believe I could have avoided the ring if I had tried to instead of, ya know, asking to be voted in. Going through with Wario's split vote and losing DP/KD in favour of the egg group was not a favourable option for me either. I think it was how I responded to this decision afterwards that was my undoing, rather than the decision itself.
I did like Wario's answer and he offered a perspective that I hadn't really considered. I do think he and I were just on completely different wavelengths about how we wanted to play this game and so were never going to be able to connect. It's true I could have been less of a straight up bitch about what I was doing and maybe that would have reduced the attention on me but I just can't play that way and don't want to, either. Bonus points to Wario for constantly referring to how smart and dominating I am. Tysm. I know.

Also thought Yoshi's answer to Falco was pretty good and exactly the kind of stuff I needed to hear from him. Particularly interesting how he was able to deduce the intentions of others based on how open/closed they were with him and whether or not they had an egg. Whether or not he actually used this information to his advantage is still unclear to me though. It seems to me that he was a very keen observer of the game but not so much of an active player.

Okay so apparently I hate myself because I am slowly slugging through these boring arse speeches. On Wario's like third or fourth paragraph about the fucking green team (dude, literally nobody cares that you made a group chat with Link to make him feel comfortable or whatever) and it has actually been lowkey worth it for gems like this: I believe it was Dark Pit in the stands at this stage and his job was to also spread this narrative if asked. Dark Pit immediately upon arriving at the stands: So Wario is batshit insane and has this stupid plan and is making up ridiculous stories and has way too many fake alliances and I hate him and my whole tribe. Anyway, you wanna make out? I truly cackled at that part. Also him saying I wasn't giving information when I had rooms alone with you multiple times while your tribe was dead as shit, lmao. |
