On another note, Mario is not gonna wanna boot Robin. As much as I fear his loose lips and mentioning this all back to Robin, I'm glad I put it to him before KRool & Duck, and I'm also glad I didn't mention specifically any target (Robin) like I was planning to with the Duck & Croc.


I am also baffled at Mario's reads on the tribe. Samus/Duck/Krool in an opposite half to me/him/Dede/Pit/Robin? Wat?
Is he just way off the mark or am I so blind as to see a Robin-Samus closeness that doesn't exist, and to not see a fivesome I'm a part of. Very fucking odd.

I do think Mario's reads are off base. But I also see my read on Mario was way off too. Hard to tell if he's being snowed or not.

What looks like happening is Pit agreeing with Robin to just cut KRool loose. And if Robin/Samus/Mario/Pit/Dede are all cutting KRool, then there's not much point trying to team up with the King & the Duck just to solidify a new minority.

I will have to find out if Dede really wants to do that. I am supposing he & Pit will probably act as one.

I would also like if Samus was here now. I feel like Robin is being somewhat shady (the side mention of KKR), and Mario may be off base, and Duck probably isn't up to date. But Samus might be able to shed some light, and planning through this current period with her might also foster some closeness. I wonder what she woud think of Mario believing he & Robin are core and she is not?

I suppose I'll tactically regroup here. Talking to Dede to see how cool he is with K.Rool happening, because he's letting on to me that he knows nothing. Maybe he really doesn't.

I already forgot this and it's been like ten minutes.

Despite my telling different people different things, my plan is mostly just to gain some allies in Duck & K.Rool, even if one or both are leaving to duel soon.

Would I vote with K.Rool in a 2-6 minority and then try to play it off afterwards as just silly games to lure people back? I bloody well might.

Ack, back to the grind.

I don't like how that ended up looking this morning. I genuinely tried a lot of things to see if I could keep K.Rool somehow, but nothing was working. A big part of that was that Pit wasn't willing to keep him. But looking at the votes now it was just that Red & me cut him, and Green didn't If I'd thought they were going to 5-3 it, maybe I go to rocks after all. So I am obstinately in the majority.

There is talk of some kind of group here that is like // // ( ) at the centre and whoever else floating around that.

That is very workable but also dull af. We're on Step 7 of the ORG playbook. "HI YOU ARE SOCIAL I AM SOCIAL LETS CUT THE NON-SOCIAL". But the likes of K.Rool or Duck Hunt aren't non-social? They just have a short & sharp messaging style. It's boring but I would survive if I go along with it.

I used to get a lot of stick around ORGY way for always wanting to go with the Robin Hood strategy of rounding up the outsiders to overthrow the comfortable. I don't know why I always revert to that. It's just fun. But like, have you ever made F8 with four or five trolls? It's hilarious and fun.

Gah, I need to snap out of this. If I do intend to go with the flow there I should not have sent K.Rool that PM. Of course he doesn't believe me. Why would he? Sounds like bullshit looking at the votes. But I did send it so it's done now.

On the plus side, at least Smashville is gone form the game. I can hold onto my cards now. If I duel, my ban will be Big Blue all day. I can give the rest a good attempt.

Looking to the future, I think my biggest detriment is myself. I shouldn't be reaching out the Duck Hunt here. I shouldn't have tried so hard to save K.Rool once I knew Pit was not doing it. I shouldn't let my emotions today drive my strategy.

Two interesting things in from K.Rool.

1) Robin told him early how much trouble he was in. I expected Robin to do that - maybe two hours before deadline? - but it sounds like it was way earlier than that.

2) Duck told K.Rool that Red are currently deciding between Pit and me. I do believe that they are just going to cut Duck here instead, and that is all the more reason for me to keep my head down. If it flips to me, it will probably be because of my shenanigans yesterday.

So today's focus should be to build my bonds with Samus & Mario & Robin so that even if they are not doing Duck, that one or more will not want it to be me either. So I need them to see me as a pocket vote or whatever. Mario kinda sucks, I don't think he'd push to save me if the others didn't. But he is also the one who will be around the most.

I think if Pythra came over here out of the duel it would go a long way to keeping my ass safe for this round (though it might make me a target more in future ones).

I like to blame TZs for why I only play once per year now, but really my mind can't handle the knots it ties itself into.

Anywho, onto Day II on Pink.

I have a terrible habit of reading the start of a PM, writing out a response, and then sending without reading the other bits. I stopped myself just in time with Samus' latest. I note this came in before the vote too, even though I'm only getting to it now.

My assumption before was that with the old Reds, Robin is top dog, Samus is right there with, Mario is kinda being dragged/snowed and doesn't know it, and then Duck is right at the bottom but at least aware of his standing. Meanwhile Mario is convinced he & Robin are core with Samus third.
Following from that, Duck would be their target this round (assuming they actually do go for a Red - big assumption there).

But reading Samus' latest - she would prefer to see Mario leave over Duck.

This would suit me a lot in a few ways. For starters, Mario after a vote would hopefully see his true standing. That would make him a lot more willing to turn on the other Reds in the future, even if I was one that voted him. The opposite effect would happen with Duck - he'd become more loyal to Red - but I think with his paranoia so far it would not be such a shift that he becomes unworkable.

It's also a chip against whatever power structure Robin has going on. Now he may just replace Mario with the much more capable Pit, but that I can deal with.

What I most need today is for the Twins to do their duel nice and early so we can actually figure out what we're working with here. Because the different plans whether it's them, DK or even K.Rool again are very different.

Plan for today: Keep my head down compared to yesterday. Be nice and calm and friendly to all. Push Samus a little bit to force her preference of Mario to leave rather than Duck Hunt. Don't tell Mario about his name being in the mix and with Duck make it seem like it is him but I'll be sticking with him and voting Mario.

Reality for today: I can't keep my mouth shut, tell everyone everything and probably get myself dropped.

Well, the fact that so few have been around through my day has made it a little easier to avoid scheming my way to an early grave. I do need the twins to hurry up already.

If they or DK join us, I think I want to see a Mario vote here. Mario is never going to move away from the Team Red mentality otherwise. That would buy some loyalty back from Duck Hunt, but I think he's still somewhat pliable. Oh I talked about this above.

If K.Rool comes back .. I think I'd like to see that actually What happens to the promise of cutting a Red next if K.Rool rocks back up alol. I would make sure to vote with him this time and force Pit to pussy out of rocks and show his hand.
